Chapter 243 My Family 2
We all sat in the lounge after dinner, eating fruits except of course Dad who had a meeting with his business associates. I wondered what important business they had to talk about at night. Though I've seen Alex on rare occasion talking to his business associates at night, I never once questioned him.
"David has always been a cold man from a very little age, no one thought he'd find love or even have a child!" Grandma started.
"Grandma, Danny said you needed me." A girl walked in, she was a tall slender lady. Her black hair was tied in ponytail, she was beautiful, classy and audacious. "Genevieve, I called few hours ago, come here love, I need to make a quick introduction." Grandma said calmly, and only then did she meet our gazes.
"This is your uncle's family, your cousin Hazel and her mother Vanessa." "Hello cousin Hazel, hello aunty." She smiled sweetly at me, which didn't sit well with me. It was wierd for someone to be this sweet in this world now, humans are selfish and greedy. It's always very hard to find genuine people around cause those people end up dying fast after being used by thses selfish men.
"Hello, Genevieve." I smiled sweetly too. Two can play the game, "I'm very hopeful you two will get along, you know Genevieve used to be the heiress of this family since we thought my son had no heir."
"Genevieve, you'd help your cousin with the office works for now, till she gives birth and get the baby stress off."
"We'll coach you Hazel, and also you'd have to sign some documents to take your place as the heiress of the Huxley's empire." Grandma stated.
Everything seems pretty fast to me, just few months back I was saved by my father only to be given the best position in one of the best tech company in the world. We got back to New York and I'm the heiress of the Huxley's empire? I met mum's gaze and she nodded, giving me a reassuring smile.
"Congratulations Hazel, I'm so happy I've got a sister like you and it'll be an honour to help you. Come on lets take a walk out side for fresh air." She held my wrist and took me outside.
"You should take it easy my babies." We got to the garden which held few maids, but it was beautiful and the flowers were well structured in different shapes and form. We could see the decor, clearly cause of the bright night lights that gave the garden and definition of beauty at night.
"Oh my I'm so sorry, I almost forgot about that. Anyway." "One look i could tell you're Alex's ex wife am i right?" I stared at her astonished. "Y...e...s...."

"It's already months of Hazel's pregnant, I just hope the father of the baby's not a nobody?" Megan said to Nessa. "Why?"
"You and I know it's a shameful thing to the society and our family if people we're to find out my granddaughter is pregnant out of wedlock. That doesn't sound responsible." Nessa rolled her eyes. These people and their what the people had to say logic, yet they act like they don't care when they actually do.
"Hazel's married, but it seems David doesn't want her with her husband". "Since when did David get so picky?" "Since he found out his daughter was married to a Wilson." Nessa had to say it. Sooner or later they all were still going to find out about it anyway.
Megan was agape by this sudden revelation, all her dreams were coming through, she bit her lower lips to hide her excitement. Though her family had an unending beef with the Wilson's, she's always had a liking towards the young man and always wished there was a way to bring him close to her family. Hazel being married to Alex sounded like sweet music to her ears.
"So you're saying Hazel's married to Alexander Wilson? Like Mr Wilson?" "Yes, she is." Nessa said calmly for Megan to smile. She was happy about the news, it was the best news she's heard in a long time. Reuniting with her son's family was a good thing but this was the best, having Alex has her son-in-law was the best news ever.
Vanessa felt relieved Megan likes Alex, she also loved her best friends son. It's like everything they wished as teenagers were coming through. Life had it's own ways of making things right. All she wanted was for the couple to be reunited again, and for David to let the man be.
He was no different from Alex when he was younger, she knew he was just being an overly protective Dad to his daughter, but he should just let them be and not interfere in their love life. It was quite obvious Hazel still likes Alex, even if she was deliberately being so stubborn about it.
All nessa wanted was to see both people happy with their children, can that not happen??

"You didn't tell me you were coming today?"
At the entrance of the mansion held Maria and her last daughter who just arrived from her vacation. "I wanted to give you a surprise mum, you haven't been around lately yourself." Carie said. "Yes, you know I had to take some break away from all the dramas of New York." Maria hugged her baby again.
Carie actually travelled to London only to be informed that Hazel was back to NYC, she was happy, at least now it'll be easy for her to see her friend again. Both women stepped back into the mansion.

"Thank you so much sir, please do your best to find my daughter." Amelia begged sitted with Maya and her husband. It's been almost a month since Berverly got missing without a word and though they've hired the best detective and search team, they still haven't been able to find her anywhere.
She was thankful Maya was back home only to return to spend her remaining sentence in prison. The Wilson's decided not to take the law into their hands again, and rather allow the law to judge her.
Maya's case wasn't the major issue in the family right now, all they wanted right now is Beverly. They just didn't know what to do anymore, the restaurant she was in, had no footage of after the incident, which got them all confused. The only useful information there was that, Beverly was seated with a notorious serial killer, which also makes her a suspect in the woman's death.
