"And what could that be?" "Maya was the one who pushed Carie off the stairs at her engagement party!"
"What? Maria exclaimed
"What are you saying Berverly? Accusing your own sister is not funny!" Grandma spoke this time furiously. She had raised the girls as her own and she knew what they could do and what not. Even if Maya had a brawl with Carie before, that didn't mean she would go as far as actually attempting murder. Right?
"I was the one who hit Avery with the vase cause she saw everything. I'm so sorry Avery I was only trying to protect my sister, but it seems this days she has gone completely knots!"
"She's totally out of control. I'm afraid I'm not safe living in the same house with her. She's clearly become a psycopath!" Berverly did her tricks with her tears to appear believable. "How dare she?" Avery spoke this time.
Carie on her own stared quietly at everything going on right now, she hated that she couldn't recall a thing about what happened. The only thing that has been on her mind since she recovered is the name Hazel. She didn't know why that name kept popping in her head. She couldn't remember being pregnant or who the father of her children is.
Though Phil had asked them to give her sometime to recover fully, and they should also make sure she's around whoever makes her happy the most, she still hasn't recovered having being around her family for days now.
"Thought you are now living with Alex?" Maria chimmed in to see the astonished expression on everyone's face. Though she played dumb and wanted Hazel to deal with her marriage issues herself, she was still aware of what was going on.
The very day Hazel told Carie about her challenges, Maria happened to be present and she heard everything. That was one of the reasons Hazel's long stay in their mansion was not questioned.
"I... I..." Berverly couldn't form a sentence for the first time in her life. She didn't know how things turned out this way, they were all supposed to be against her sister not her.
"You and your sister conspired to hurt my daughters...!" "No mother that's not how it happened I was.....!" "You had the guts to walk into my mansion and hurt my daughters after your family ruined Alex's wedding?" Her voice got a bit high hinting an unexplainable range behind it.
She had hurt and accused someone else cause of this two mannerless sisters. How could she ever forgive herself for all the things she did to Hazel. The poor girl must have suffered mentally from her stupid actions, maybe that's why she has refused visiting.
She would have to make it up to her. She has to visit Hazel and apologize personally.
"Calm down Maria lets at least hear her out!" "There's nothing to hear from the mouth of this pretentious lying tramp!" "Maria!" Grandma warned.
"What? You'd prefer a complete stranger to your granddaughters? "You know that's not true, Berverly's no stranger. She's like a daughter to all of us!"
"In case you forgot, their action did not only almost cost the life of Carie but also cost that of your greatgrand children. For crying out loud they did nothing to deserve any of these!"
"You... You killed my grand children?" "No I didn't, Maya did. I and Avery only got out of her room that night to be welcomed by that disgusting act of Maya!"
"I was shocked too, I couldn't believe it. Maya begged me to keep my mouth shut but Avery got furious and was about to expose her when I used the closest vase to hit her!"
*Slap*
*Gasp* and another *Slap* on her next cheek.
"Mother!" Berverly exclaimed. "Don't you dare call me your mother you decietful being. You've done countless evil that I've overlooked in the past, how dare you touch my daughter's? Maria has always been known as the kind daughter in law and mother in law.
Her kind nature has made people see her as a fool. "No wonder they said not to mingle with people who are below your status!" She said not breaking her glare from Berverly. This was the right time to cut the Balowe from her family, but that doesn't mean Maya would go unpunished.
Holding her cheeks was Berverly who just got hit in the face by Maria. She could not believe Maria would actually hit her for something she didn't do. If she was not pretending right now she would have hit this woman real hard.
I've had quite a long day and David just decided that I go for check up to see how healthy the babies are. Like what's his problem? Don't get me wrong, he's the best thing that's happened to me aside mum. I'm glad life has finally decided to make me genuinely happy.
"They're doing perfectly fine, Garb will continue serving you healthy meals!" He smiled at me but I didn't return it. Not that I've ever returned his smiles before.
They're meant to be fine we checked just yesterday!" "It's always good to be ready for the worst before it happens, not that I'm praying for anything bad to happen to my grand children!" I rolled my eyes at his words.
I got off the bed and took off the hospital garment I was wearing. I miss mum so much already and I hope she's getting better by now. When I'm ready, I'd go take her away from that monster.
Even if I have a good and better life than few weeks back, I still missed some people in the Wilson's family. Especially my bestie, I didn't even get the chance to see her when she woke up. I hope she's fine.
'Oh come on Hazel, she's got her family with her'. I thought. Letting out a sigh, I stepped out of the lab walking behind David who looked like he was on an important call.
Stepping into my room, I laid on the bed. Even if I've tried brushing off the thought of Alex from my head, he's still there. It's like he has his place in me. I couldn't help but worry a little about him, is he also missing me? Or has he decided to be with the one he loves.
What if he doesn't miss me at all? What if he doesn't care about me? Aurgh... Hazel what are you doing he's hurt you alot?"
But then again, what if father hurts him like he has promised? I can't live knowing I had a chance to help him but couldn't. Besides he's the father of my children, what do I tell them if anything happens to their Father?
Maybe Mr David could help me out, maybe he can warn Alex without letting him know it's me.
At that thought, I got off the bed and headed to the study room for a quick word with Mr David. Standing before the study room, I took in deep breaths and was about to knock when I heard his voice sounding like he was in a bad mood. Was this the right time to tell him? Paying close attention to what he was saying,
"Send the next restriction order to the entirely Wilson's, they should know they hurt my daughter and I would never tolerate that!" I heard Mr David say.
