Chapter 198 Abducted 1

   "Hazel!" Grandma called the moment she saw me step in. I turned my gaze to her, "where have you been since yesterday?" She was sitting on a sofa, and from the look on her face, I could see how exhausted she was.

   "Grandma"  I sauntered towards her and and sat next to her. Holding her hands in mine I kissed it, "Oh Hazel....".

   "What happened to her? I was stucked with Alex cause we..... What we had kept me longer than expected, but I'm here now". "You had your usual fights didn't you?" I moved my gaze to Carie. Talking to them about Alex might just land ma in bigger trouble.

   "Grandma, what happened to her?" "She had an accident, someone pushed her off the stairs!" "Oh my God!" I covered my lips with my hands. Grandma went on to say, "And the same person broke a vase on Avery's head!" She cried. "I just don't understand why anyone would want to harm to may babies!" She sobbed even more.

   "Grandma that's okay". I tried patting her back tenderly, and saying some comforting words to her. What really happened last night? If the two sisters are badly hurt, then what would have happened to me if I was there? 

   I walked up to Carie's bed to see how she was doing, she seemed to be in a deep coma. "Carie, I'm sorry". I whispered cleaning the tear that fell down my cheeks. "No need to cry Hazel, she's stable for now, the doctor said she would wake up in days!" Grandma said. "And the babies?"

   "Move her out" I heard Alex's voice from the door, turning my gaze to that direction, he was with some doctors who started moving Carie's bed. What's going on, why was she being moved. I ran to him at the door.

    "Alex what's going on?" He said nothing to me, ignoring completely. My eyes swooped around to know if anyone noticed the embarrassment. Even if his entire family stood out the door, they were focused on Carie except of course one person whose eyes were on me. Benson. I quickly removed my gaze from him and focused on Carie being moved out of the ward.

"Alex, I have been looking everywhere for you!" Berverly hugged him tightly perking his cheeks before everyone and Alex said nothing. He let her touch him before his family members. "I'm so sorry for what happened here!" She apologized gloomily.

I could see Avery standing behind mother, she had a bandage on her head. I wondered what must have happened to her, she must have seen the person who tried to kill them, so why is she not talking? Did the person threaten her?

  "Mother!" I went ahead to say hi. "My Carie was looking for you last night, where have you been Hazel? It must have been when she got back to the mansion to look for you that her killer had the chance to kill her". "The person took advantage of the opportunity!" Mother said. What was she saying? Was she blaming me for this?

   "That's a stupid assumption mother, Carie excused herself to the bathroom before me!" Lukas said. "Carie always lies, there's no way she would not look for her". She pointed at me. "Where the hell were you Hazel?" She raised her voice up attracting the attention of all the passerby and everyone stared at me wierdly.

    "My Love don't say that, you're just stressed out, come let's go home Alex is here now!" Father held her hands and took her away. "Hazel, you caused this, you did this to your best friend. She lost the pregnancy cause of you, pray nothing happens to my daughter or.....!" Father took her away.

   I bit my lower lips hard to push back the tears threatening to fall from my eyes. This was just so absurd, why would she think that? Why do they always find ways to blame me for all the bad things happening to them. Anyone can hate me but not mother, I can't take it if she does.

   My body felt weak at her words Carie lost her babies. "My dear don't take anything your she said to heart, she's acting upon her jumbled feelings. It's totally not your fault!" Mr Viotto said for me to smile slightly. Out of everyone here, I felt like the odd one out.

  Still trying to gather my thoughts, we all stepped out of the hospital with Carie being kept in an ambulance. "You don't have to come with us, go back home and rest. I promise to call you when she finally wakes up". Benson said calmly for me to nod at his words. 

   I was already exhausted myself from my endless cries from last night and now I was crying again. "Hazel where are you going? we're heading to the hospital now!" I heard Alex's voice. He finally decided to talk to me. "I'm going back home, I'll see her tomorrow!" I responded without meeting his gaze. He's the last person I want to see me like this.

   Carie lost her babies and I'm totally the cause of it. I will never forgive myself for this.

  "Let me take you home then!" Alex offered "I'll go with Benson!" At my words I stepped into Benson's car and we drove off. We didn't say a word to each other as I stared out the window through out the smooth ride sobbing quietly. "We're here!" I heard him say and I stepped out of the car. "Thank you" was my words to him as I sauntered into the mansion without looking back at him.

   I was back to another hell, now mother is mad at me, Carie's lost her babies cause of me, I don't think I can go back to the mansion anymore. "Welcome back Madam!" Gaius greeted with a bow along side his maids. "Thank you Gaius!" I stepped into the mansion and got to our bedroom.

  I laid on the bed still sobbing, we had lots of plans together. I planned on the names I would give to her kids. I planned on always taking them on a vacation since I and Alex having any child was mission impossible.

   My sobs got louder and louder, everyone was happy about the babies. I just didn't know how long I'd cry for, I can't even imagine Carie's reaction when she finally realise her babies are gone.
