"Jane what are you doing there standing idle? We have more guests to serve before dinner. GET TO WORK!!! The head maid commanded the girl holding the tray before the bathroom door waiting for Carie to come out. "B... But Miss Carie asked me to wait here with this until she gets out!" She tried to sound as convincing as possible. And the head maids eyes fell on the half filled juice.
"Give it to me, I'll hand it over to her myself now get to work!" Jane hesitated for some time before handing the tray over to him. "Make sure you give it to her, or she'll get mad at me!" She said for the head maid to give her a glare and she quickly left the place.
Aaron waited for Carie to get out, for more than thirty minutes and her drink was no longer chilled.
Everyone in the mansion knows Carie loves her drink Ice cold so he went ahead to the kitchen, to get it refilled and drop some ice cubes in it. He filled another glass with extra orange juice and handed it over to a maid to give it to Carie and any other guest around.
The maid who was called by the head chef, handed the drink to a waiter , "Boss's younger sister Miss Carie is in there, wait for her to get out before handing the drink over to her!" The maid instructed and walked back into the kitchen.
"Have you handed the drink over to the Madam Cynthia?" "Yes Master Ryan!" Cynthia went further in to help with setting the dinner table and arranging the food and drinks. Since it was past midnight, the foods given were light so it wouldn't affect anyone.
Carrie who just got out of the bathroom, took the juice given to her by the waiter and the man headed back to the kitchen to drop the drink when a woman stopped him and took the next glass.
"Have you served her the drink?" Maya asked the maid she sent to do her job from before, and when the maid turned to Carie and saw her drinking from the juice, she turned back to Maya with a smile. "See for yourself ma'am!" At the maids words, Maya snapped her head to Carie's direction and the smile on her lips broadened.
Her gaze never left Carie as she took a sip from the drink she just got from the waiter too.
PRESENTLY........
"Babies, my loves don't start now, you can't expose mummy. Not now, Not like this!" Carie stated as she held her tommy squeezing it gently. Her contraction just started and this time it was more painful than usual. It was like her tommy was twisting.
"Loves fine, you guys won, I'll tell your dad I promise please don't do this. Ah...!" She yelped in pain as tears threatened to fall from her eyes and the glass of juice fell from her hands. The drugs Maya gave works faster than any drug. It could kill a baby within minutes.
"Are you alright Carie!" Alex held her hands for his younger sister to meet his gaze. Carie was already sweating as tears threatened to fall from her eyes, she bit her lower lips as she met Hazel's gaze, who had a grave look on her face.
"You dropped your drink Carie are you alright?" Before Carie could speak to Lukas who just arrived with Benson and her parents, "Ah..........!" There was another scream from another angle in the hall. it was Maya who screamed cause the sharp pain she felt in her tommy.
The pain was unbearable as she felt a liquid roll down her legs, "Blood!" She whispered before passing out.
Carie who felt pain before stood up, as the pain in her tommy was beginning to subsided. "I'm fine now, it's just the reaction from the food i ate it seems my system does not like this!" Carie smiled but she knew her words were not convincing enough cause of the look Alex gave her.
She gave her best friend a look and Hazel understood at one glance before speaking, "what's going on there?" She turned their gaze to the direction of were people gathered and everyone headed to were the other scream came from except of course Lukas who attented to his girlfriend.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Carie nodded with a reassuring smile. "Lukas, I want to talk to you!" Carie offered for Lukas to nod. Finally his baby offered to talk to him, Lukas felt elated, he was more than happy. Infact his feelings were indescribable.
With careful steps, he took her away.
"It's urgent do we have a doctor here, the woman is bleeding!" A man screamed gaining everyone's attention. Another man walked up to them to check the girl on the floor as his index fingers kissed the drink to floor only to rub it with his tongue as he inhaled it.
"I think the drink she took was poisoned!" At the word poisoned, everyone started dropping their drink one after another in fear of getting killed.
"Maya! what happened to my daughter!" Martin Balowe and Amelia ran towards the girl who had blood stains on her legs.
Finally, the Balowe sisters has destroyed the wedding. The Wilson's bodyguards and the Balowe's left the yatch immediately with an helicopter to get Maya to the hospital as quick as possible.
"You didn't tell me your sister was pregnant. And who the hell was she pregnant for? Who's the bastard that has done this to my daughter? I swear I would kill him!" Berverly said nothing to her father as she kept on crying for her sister.
If she knew Maya would not be able to handle the job, then she would never have sent her to do anything. She regretted why she did not help her sister.
The drugs they had bought or she had bought and deliberately handed it over to Maya was not only going to kill the child but also affect her womb that she might not be able to concieve again. Or it would take long for her to concieve a child ever again.
Berverly cried as she watched her sister, she knew the pain her younger sister was going through. And Maya being someone who has never been in pain before passed out cause she couldn't endure the pain.
They arrived at the hospital and Maya was taken to the emergency room. The doctors spent three hours working on her before coming out of the emergency room. "How's she? How's my daughter?" Martin asked the doctor.
Amelia and her daughter kept hugging each other as they both prayed for Maya to be okay. "What really happened to your sister?" Amelia asked to see her daughter sob more. She could not believe she had two beautiful daughters that were all grown up now.
Her babies, her joy, for years she's always wished to see them, dieing secretly everyday just praying and hoping that one day she would reunite with them.
"Please follow me to my office!" Martin did as said by the doctor, leaving Amelia with Berverly. "The substance your daughter consumed was toxic, which killed her growing child of 18 days!" The doctor started.
"The drugs did not only kill her child but also destroyed most of her eggs and it also made her womb weak to which it can no longer hold a baby. That might lead to lots of miscarriages in the future!" Martin's hands turned into a fist.
The Wilson's will pay dearly for what they have done to his precious daughter. They want war, war they would get.
"All Maya wanted was to get back the man she stole from him. And now they've poisoned my sister!" Berverly cried. "What are you talking about?"
"How would you understand when you don't care about us, you left us didn't you to go be with Hazel!" "No no I would never do that. I've told you countless times the reson....!"
"Then do something, your daughter is lying in there cause of Hazel and Alex's sister. They go about stealing people's men. It was supposed to be my wedding today, I'm the one who's meant to get married to Alex but Hazel stole him away from me!" Berverly sobbed more making her mother's heart heavy as guilt filled her.
Amelia was still trying to digest the information of Hazel stealing her daughters man. She got furious, the same faith she went through cannot befall her daughters too no.. she would never let that happen.
