Chapter 126 Recovery 2

      Stepping back into the Balowe's Mansion, Berverly was supported by her mother as she moved into the mansion. She was in pain, not her body but her heart. She had tasted what motherhood feels like only to loose her baby in a month. The pain was unbearable and only Amelia knew what she was going through.

     She had foolishly brought her sister out, for the sake of earning their loves forgetting that thst love was lost long time ago and was already replaced with hatred. She thought she was fighting Hazel without an idea she was fighting herself.

     She regretted her actions.

    Hazel is her cousin and cousins shouldn't fight with each other. But the thought of loosing Alex made her furious, it made her want to kill Hazel even more.

    "I'm so sorry for putting you through all this, it's my fault. I should have never forced you to get married to any wealthy man!" Mr Balowe himself regretted his actions towards his daughters. He regretted ever forcing them to get married instead of doing something useful with their lives.

    The pain and humiliation brought on his family is as a result of his foolish words to his daughters. He is their father, he should have loved them instead of letting them seek the love somewhere else. They were better and more important than his wealth and businesses but he choosed those things over his daughters.

    He had made his family a laughing stuck before the society, his friends and family. He was blamed for Berverly's action by everyone. He didn't know how to fix things anymore, but he knew it was time to love and care for his family like a father should.

    Beverly stared at the man before her without uttering a word other than endless tears pouring down her eyes as she sobbed into his embrace. Her Father had no idea how long she has waited to hear and see him care genuinely for her, or call her with love. She didn't want material things as those things were nothing compared to a fathers love.

     Rather, in other to get his love, she had to fight to marry a reputable man, so her father can just love her. She couldn't blame him entirely for her mistakes cause she's an adult that had the right to make her decisions. She knew what was right or wrong but she still choose to do the wrongs.

     She still loved Alex, and nothing was going to change that, but she had to accept the fact that he loved someone else now. Though it was hard for her to believe and accept thing the way they were now, she still had to do it.

    It was time for her to fix her mistakes, instead of acting like a child.

     "I'm right here are you alright?" Lukas held her hands in his, giving her all his attention. He wanted her to be alright and would do anything for her to feel okay. "I feel a little dizzy!" She placed her hands on her forehead sipping the air. "And a slight headache!" She said.

     "I should go get Phil, he would do something about this". She held his hands from moving, "How did I end up here, what happened?" Lukas's heart fell at her words, he had thought she was regaining her memory, but she looked like one that just lost more memories.

    What confused him was why she called him baby earlier, the real Carie always called him that. She always called him her baby, with the sweet smile that was always on her lips. How he missed those.

    Carie moved her hands around her stomach for her to start sobbing lightly. She could recall everything, the fall, her argument with Avery when she got back to the mansion. Her memories were coming back and it was too much for her to take.

    She's lost her babies due to that fall, after everything she's been through for the babies. "What's wrong, why are you crying?" Lukas asked perturbed.

     "I... I remember everything Baby, Avery....". "She pushed me down the grand stairs and I could feel the ba.....!" Her sobs got louder as she held unto him to cry even harder. Lukas gritted his teeth, he could not stand Carie in pain like this. He could not watch her go through so much pain. It wasn't easy and hasn't been easy for her family and his cause of the great loss they experienced.

    His children brought so much joy to the families that their departure has brought great pain and sorrow to the family. Maria cried for weeks that also included his anties and grandfather. They all feared the man was going to die, but surprisingly, he survived.

   "That's okay, it's been long since that happened. I'm glad your memories are back. We could have children later, as many as we want hmm?" He tried to calm his Carie down, hoping she would listen to him. All she needed right now was love and encouragement.

     "How about we go out on a vacation, away from all this?"

   The Balowe's were more like outcast in the higher class society, as everyone saw them as disaster. Sitted in her room still crying and mourning her loss was Berverly, who still had a memory check of all the bad things she's ever done. She didn't even realize when her mother stepped in.

    Though her daughter has decided to change her ways for the better, Amelia was not having it. She wanted revenge as she blamed Hazel inwardly for these humiliations. Her daughter should be the one in charge of the Wilson's empire, Berverly should be the only woman able to win Alex's heart not Hazel.

    In life repentance is determination, it's not a forced thing, and since Amelia had chosen to take her revenge, she had had a meeting earlier with Xavier. They talked about a lot of things and one of them was killing her neice finally.

   Seeing the girl with a little baby bump the previous day angered her, but she still endured cause her daughter was also pregnant. She never dreamt of recieving the news of Berverly's miscarriage that same day. It happened so fast that she almost lost her sanity herself.

    It was like seeing Hazel's face brought bad omen to her family. She didn't care if this was the same neice she once was loved and cared for, now her daughters were her major priorities and she would eliminate anything on their way to happiness.

    Amelia knew if Alex was to find out about Hazel's pregnancy, she and her entire family had lost forever, for them to become laughing stuck before everyone. 

   She wouldn't let that happen, her daughter just cannot be thrown out of the house yet.
