"I think we should send a letter to the king, I'm worried. Why would she even get kidnapped. She's done nothing wrong!" Emilia panicked to her husband, her brows furrowed in worry.

Lucid walked around the room with his hands behind his back.

"I'll send some of the soldiers there, mere letters would change nothing. It's been three days now, and not a word has been heard from them." Lucid said, and he nodded at a guard beside him which the guard understood. He bowed his head at the king and queen, leaving the place.

"My dear Elen. I hope she's fine, wherever she is." Emilia commented, Lucid stared at her, and walked towards her. He placed his hands on her shoulders, her eyes held tears in it.

"She'll be found soon. You don't have to worry, okay?" He assured her and she slightly nodded, wiping the tears that had fallen from her eyes.

...

"Hey, why do you look so worried? I bet she's okay, I've known Elen since we were children, she's a smart girl, she'd definitely leave that place without the need to be saved." Amir explained as Ellie couldn't stop crying.

He had recovered, and was now back to his normal self, but his recovery was followed with the bad news of Elen's kidnap.

"Amir, she's been kidnapped, what if she doesn't gets found? W-what if she's s-" Her sentence was interrupted by a loud horn blown outside of the castle walls.

They had visitors! She looked at Amir, giving him a confused look, while Amir gave her a slight smile.

"Let's go." He said, holding out his hands for her to take while Ellie stared at his hands then at him.

She then placed her hands on his and he gave her a wide smile. He was definitely going to make her his wife. She's going to fall head over heels for him, and when that happens, even the universe wouldn't be able to separate them.

"Ready?" He asked her and she nodded.

"Ready." She said, with a queasy smile on her lips.

Amir squeezed her hands gently while staring at her.

They both left the drawing room, heading to the throne hall, with the guards following behind them.

"Who do you think it might be?" Ellie asked Amir and she shrugged his shoulders.

"Must be representatives from Lucrain." He uttered and she nodded her head lightly.

They reached the throne hall to see the King and Queen sitting on their respective chairs with some members of the council.

Ellie and Amir took their seats beside each other while they watched the representatives bow to the king.

One of them stepped forward, and offered a royal scroll to the king.

"The king of lucrain sent this for you," the soldier said and Lucid stared at his wife, creasing his brows he took the scroll from him and read the contents in it.

The furrow on his brows slowly disappeared and a wide smile appeared on his lips.

"Treat these soldiers who delivered this news with the best treatment one could ever receive, the princess has been found!" He declared and Emilia chuckled lightly, she pressed her hands on her mouth, to stop her from screaming out loud as she couldn't control the happiness she felt.

"I think it would be best one of us went to see her," Amir suggested and Ellie quickly nodded.

"I'll go with Amir, father," she said and the man gave it a thought before letting out a small nod. She smiled brightly, seeing that the King had agreed.

"I'll go prepare for the journey," she bowed before leaving the throne hall.

Amir also left, leaving the king and queen staring at each other with a smile and certain beam in their eyes.

"Alex," Elen muttered under her breath as she placed her head on his shoulder.

"Mhm," he pulled her closer and Elen felt herself close her eyes. She had never felt this secured in his arms, and there was a certain gentleness he carried today that made her want to kiss him.

Agh!! He could hear her!

She heard him chuckle and Elen clenched her fists.

"It seemed like you wanted to say something, do not disrupt it with such naughty thoughts, wife," he smirked and she blushed lightly.

"I feel like things are slowly changing, Alex. I fear for what the future holds, some-"

"Shh," he silenced her quietly while pulling her even closer, and holding her tightly as if not wanting to let go.

"Do not worry about things that do not hold to be true," he comforted her but even he knew he needed answers, he wanted to know how she had come back to life, she had healed herself. He wanted answers too cause he could feel what she felt.

"I cannot help but worry, Alex. My eyes..." She whispered the last words but he heard her.

He pulled away from her and looked at her, worry visible etched on his face.

"Tell me," his voice turned alert.

"It had changed it's color to green but for split seconds that had me thinking if I was just imagining things but I was sure I saw well," she explained and by then, Alex's eyes turned darker. Green? He only knew one person with green eyes...

He turned to look at Elen for a while, his brows were creased as he looked at her. Feeling his gaze on her, she raised her head to look at him and a small smile appeared on his lips.

"Go wear something suitable for hunting, we're going out," he declared and for a moment, Elen felt he had returned to that cold husband she got married to.

"I am still the same person, go get ready and shut those thoughts down," he teased and she glared at him.

"Well it's not my fault you can hear them," She retorted before standing up to walk towards the dressing table.
