I'm glad

"Good morning, uncle Titus, it's good to see you again." Elen said.

"It's my pleasure, Helena." He said.

They chatted for a long while until he left, leaving her with her father.

Elen looked at her father, he had been staring at her, it's as if he wanted to say something but can't say it. As much as she's still angry with her father, she can't deny the fact that she still loves him, she can't stay angry with him forever! So she decided that she'll spend the remaining one day with her father.

"Father, how was my swordfight?" She said breaking the awkward silence surrounding them.

"You've improved a lot, Elen but you'll need to also learn to defend while attacking. A good swords person is meant to also defend and attack too." He commented.

"Thank you father, I'll also improve there too." She said, one thing she also liked about her father was that he was sincere and would never lie just to please your ears. He would always state the truth no matter how bitter that truth may sound.

"Father, can we go out?" She asked.

"Sure, daughter, I need to take care of a few things first and then we'll go out. I promise." He said

"Without guards." She added, she held her breath in anticipation for his answer, she knew he would never agree to go out without guards, he was just too protective of her.

"Okay, but we won't go far if that's the case." He said.

Elen was beyond thrilled, she never expected that he'll agree so easily. Elen hugged him tightly.

"You're the best father."

"Hmm, so I'm forgiven now right?"

"Yes father, I can't stay angry with you forever! I understand why you did this and I won't object any longer." She said.

"Daughter, go freshen up, I'll send someone to call you when I'm ready, okay." He said and with that he left.

"Hey, easy there. Don't hurt yourself." Titus said as he grinned at her.

"I'm sorry uncle, I didn't see you coming." She said. She was lost in her own train of thoughts. She couldn't get herself to forget about that prince. She had been trying so hard to think of the positive things about him but she couldn't bring herself to think of anything positive.

What if he ends up treating her badly? What if he's a heartless man and that's why people call him a demon? She couldn't help but feel nervous again. Her mother and father had told her not to be scared but she couldn't just forget about it and act like everything is fine!

"It's alright, mind telling me what's bothering you?" He asked.

"It's nothing." She lied, she didn't want everyone to start worrying about her, so she'll try her best to keep a calm face.

"I heard from your father that you're getting married to a prince."

"Yes."

"I'm sorry, lucid had to make this choice for you." He said.

"No uncle, there's no need to apologize, I understand why father did this, so I really don't mind anymore, but I'm just nervous about the prince, and the rumors about him."

Titus let out a chuckle and continued. "I'm glad you understand why your father did this, it shows how mature you've become but be rest assured, I've met the prince myself, he's not a bad person, he's nice too." Titus said.

"Thank you uncle."

"My pleasure, princess." He said and he bowed playfully.

Elen watched him as he was out of sight and then heaved a sigh. She was relieved by what she heard, she didn't know if it was true or Titus was just trying to make her feel better, all she knew was that it seemed to calm her nervousness down a bit.
