What would it be like for Diane to go begging the man she had been trying so hard to forget, the one she dumped to marry that jerk of a husband? As for Christian, whose heart should've steeled against the woman who broke it years ago, would he help her? But at what conditions? And what would happen once he finally learned the true reason Diane broke up with him? Will he still keep her by his side despite his beloved mother’s resistance?

Her Ex-Husband's Mistress

It was a relief for Diane to finally settle her outstanding matter with Tricia, but who knew that a stray bullet would come hit her from nowhere later in the day?

After having lunch with Tricia, Diane went back to work. She had some patients to see after making ward rounds along with the chief of her department.

As soon as the ward rounds ended, she stole a little time to have a fruit snack before she started to see patients.

Two hours later, her last patient walked in. She was drinking water from a bottle when the familiar face walked in. Almost immediately, she spurted the entire thing out of her mouth after nearly choking on it.

Diane didn't recover her composure until the young woman had sat down across from her. She grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth before dabbing the table to clear out the wet spot.

"Are you surprised to see me?" Isabelle with a small smile on her face. "I know you must be wondering why I'm here to see you."
