CH8. Don't leave

"Young Master, let me deal with her..." But she stops talking when the young master shoots her a killing look. She immediately backs to a corner and keeps quiet.

She then regains her senses when she sees her master walk towards the quotas. She hurriedly runs after him. Lu Min Chen has never set foot there, that should be his first time.

Lu Min Chen stops at the gate and looks behind him, waiting to be shown where he is supposed to go. 

"This way," the manager says and begins leading the way.

Reaching her door, the manager halts and steals a glance at her boss. Is he really planning to enter a lady's room?

Knocking at the door, she raises her voice. "Xiao Xiao!"

"Xiao Xiao, open the door."

"The young master is here. Xiao Xiao!"

She is screaming in her heart. Why is this girl seeking death by assuming the presence of her master. Even she, the manager, cannot help her anymore.

"Break the door," a chilly voice rings behind her. She halts a bit before returning to her senses.

The young master wants the door broken down? But she can't refute him. "Right away."

Someone is brought and he breaks the door carefully. He is scared of making noise to the young master. But he is ordered to make the door once he is done.

Lu Min Chen takes steady steps into the room, but stops when he sees the sleeping body on the bed. She has curled herself into a ball, and lines of dried up tears can be seen on her face. She looks like an abandoned kitten.

He raises his hands to stop the people behind him from walking further. "Done with the door?" He asks.

The person who has just finished repairing the door nods. "You can all leave now," The young master says calmly.

He walks back and locks the door before he proceeds to the bed, where the girl is still soundly sleeping.

He observes her for a long time, a very long time. He does not even know what to do with her. But his heart is way ahead of him.

Seeing that she has shivered, he pulls the covers to cover her well, but the girl turns immediately and holds onto his shirt tightly.

He freezes and looks at her little hands. When he comes back to his senses and wants to push her away, he hears her say something, but it is not clear. He stops to listen to her.

"Don't leave," she says between shivers. She is trembling like serious, and it makes his heart ache a bit. Just a little bit.

"Daddy, he bullied me," she says again and holds him tightly.

Lu Min Chen narrows his eyes. So, she is taking him for her father? 

"Daddy, take me back home..."

"You..." Min Chen tries to pull her hands away from him. But more tears pour out of the girl's eyes. 

"Daddy, you said you will be with me. Please don't leave. You can't leave me all by myself again."
