CH334. Keeping her for her value

Old Lu meets Lu Min Chen in the firstt room of the lab. He does not let him go any further.

"Grandpa, why did you call me?" Lu Min Chen asks the moment he takes a seat.

"Oh, you are so ready to run after her?" The old man asks with ridicule.

And Lu Min Chen looks away. That is exactly what he wants to do.

"That girl is disrespectful. I want you to break up with her now!" The old man declares.

And it gets Lu Min Chen so off guard. 

It has been long since the man talked about Ye Xiao Xiao. Just what happened between them today that he has brought it up again?

"What happened?" He asks with creased brows.

"I said she is disrespectful. What other explanation do you want to hear from me?" The old man roars. 

However, today Lu Min Chen remains so calm. He looks his grandpa in the eye. "She refused to work for you?" 

The Old Lu's face turns grim. "She cannot even respect me. What kind of a wife is she going to make in this life?"

"Grandpa," Lu Min Chen calls again. There are some things that he no longer wants to keep.

The old man looks at him. And he already knows that whatever this grandson is going to say is not anything pleasing.

"I am married to her," Lu Min Chen continues.

"Ha! Ha!" The old man laughs. "Had you kept that as your last blow to me?" He asks. "I know you are married. And I want you to divorce her!"

"But that is impossible!" Lu Min Chen says back. "That is marriage, it cannot be undone. I will be a divorcee after that..."

"And you have better women waiting for that!" Old Lu says. "You will never miss someone who would want to marry you!"

"That is right!" Lu Min Chen says calmly. "But I am worried about her, not me. I will never let her off. I will keep her by my side."

The old man is shocked. From the beginning, Lu Min Chen was always telling him that he does love her. What does he mean now?

"You... You said that you do not love her?" He asks sternly. And his eyes are already bloodshot. 

Lu Min Chen looks at him once again. And he knows what that means. "I said that of course," he says. "But I am keeping her for her value, just the same way you were trying to keep her mother!"

The old man is so shocked to hear those words. He looks at his grandson as though he had seen a ghost. "You..."

Lu Min Chen smiles. "You are shocked that I know that, right?" He asks.

Old Lu does not say anything. He had not expected Lu Min Chen to know such things. He had kept them hidden for himself for a very long period of life. 

"Grandpa, you want me to divorce her. How will you get Miss Shan if I do?"
