Man lost in Infinity

During Luke Silver's last year of high school, he stumbled upon a captivating book at the library. Intrigued, he decided to borrow it. Little did he know that as soon as he opened the book, a peculiar thing happened - his eyes closed. When he reopened them, he found himself in the body of a boy named Lucke, residing in the human kingdom of Kanull in a whole new world. In this strange world , Luke discovered that the world was a vast place, home to seven different races. It was a world where he encountered magic, witnessed the incredible advancements of technology crafted by the elves, and marveled at the artifacts created by the divine gods themselves. However, amidst this wondrous discovery, Luke also came to realize that humans occupied the lowest position in the societal hierarchy. They were confined to the lawless kingdom of Kanull, struggling to survive.

The kingdom of Kanull part 3

As Lucke slowly made his way through the dark room, he eventually reached the wooden door. He thought to himself, "This must be it." After that, he ran his hand along the wooden wall in an attempt to locate the doorknob.

Finally, he found the doorknob and turned it, gently pushing the door open. As he stepped out of the room, he realized he was now standing in a small corridor with a wooden floor and railing. The entire house appeared to be enveloped in darkness, so he headed towards the step that extended from the room he had just left and began descending.

As he made his way down the stairs, numerous thoughts filled his mind.

I really hope this is just a dream because if I somehow ended up in this terrible life, I don't know how long I can last. I've read so many books about reincarnation and transmigration, and in those stories, people usually wake up in a new world with incredible powers or some kind of advantage that motivates them to stay. But based on Lucke's memories, it seems like this place lacks any sort of advantage.

After pondering this, he finally reached the bottom of the stairs and realized that the house was empty. However, he could hear voices coming from outside, so he cautiously continued to walk while keeping his hand stretched out in front of him, just in case he bumped into a wall.

As he approached the door, he gently ran his hand over its surface, searching for the doorknob. After some time, he finally located it and turned it, allowing him to pull the door open. As he swung the door open, a soft yellow light from outside filled the room. Curiosity piqued, he cautiously peered out and spotted Emma and Luna seated on a wooden chair, while Cleo and Ivy played nearby.

Stepping out of the house, he closed the door behind him. The sound of the door shutting caught Emma and Luna's attention, causing them to turn and notice his exit.

"Well, look who's finally awake," Emma chimed in.

"I bet you spent the entire day sleeping! So, how are you feeling today? Usually, you'd complain about the taste of the food, but today you seem perfectly content. And I didn't even hear you rushing down the stairs this time!"

Lucke smiled upon hearing that and shifted his gaze toward Cleo and Ivy before responding, "Well, it actually wasn't that bad. Maybe I've grown accustomed to it and I'm trying to change and stop rushing downstairs."

Emma, upon hearing this, chose to remain silent as she stared at the stars. Lucke glanced around and noticed that the surroundings outside the house didn't appear as bad as they did in the morning. Strangely, each house had a lamp in front, illuminating the street. However, he couldn't help but notice a few homeless individuals sitting on the ground, looking incredibly frail and almost on the verge of death.

"C'mon, join us and play," Cleo invited Lucke.

He hesitated for a moment before slowly making his way towards them and asking, "So... what game are you guys playing?"

Although there were plenty of games that didn't require devices or electricity, Lucke felt uncertain about the particular game Cleo and Ivy were engaged in.

Even though he had acquired Lucke's memory, there were still certain aspects that eluded him. For instance, Emma and Luna, who found him, were not biologically related to Lucke but chose to adopt him into their family, alongside Cleo. Additionally, he had no recollection of Lucke's birth parents or any memories of the games he played with Cleo or Ivy.

Ivy had a determined expression as she took a moment to think before speaking.

"Let's play hide and seek in the dark house, it'll be so interesting and fun this way," she said.

Cleo's eyes widened at the suggestion. "But how will we even find each other in the darkness? Isn't it impossible?" He asked, sounding unsure.

Hearing Cleo's questions, Lucke was also perplexed about how they would manage to play the game in the dark. However, he didn't say anything and instead quietly observed Ivy, who stood with her arms folded.

"I'll be the seeker, and both of you will be the hiders," Ivy announced confidently. "I'm really good at seeing things in the dark, and I already know the layout of the entire house."

Upon hearing this, Cleo and Lucke agreed to play as the hiders, knowing that it would be quite challenging for either of them to find anyone in the dark house if they were the seekers.

"Okay, go hide," Ivy said, turning away from the house, closing her eyes to begin counting.

As soon as Ivy started counting, Cleo and Lucke quietly slipped inside the dimly lit house. Luke had the advantage of remembering how the house looked in the morning, using Lucke's memories as a reference. Downstairs, He found a small kitchen to the left of the front door. To the right of the door was an open space, with a worn-out couch revealing the exposed sponge inside. There was also a rickety wooden table surrounded by four chairs that appeared on the verge of breaking due to their age. Luke chose to hide behind the couch, crouching down, while Cleo headed upstairs."

After a while, the front door was nudged open, and Lucke decided to stay in a conspicuous spot. He did so to make it easy for Ivy to find him since he wasn't interested in playing and agreed to be a part of the game purely out of boredom. As Ivy stepped inside, he silently observed her every move.

Ivy proceeded towards the left side of the house, where the kitchen was located. She moved cautiously, hoping to discover where Cleo and Lucke might be hiding within.

Meanwhile, Lucke remained seated on the wooden floor, keeping a watchful eye on Ivy. The open door allowed the light to stream in, casting gentle rays that illuminated the place.

After Ivy finished searching the kitchen area of the house, she turned right and approached the couch where Lucke was hiding. Quietly, she crept behind the couch and spotted Lucke sitting on the wooden floor.

"I knew I would find you," Ivy whispered to Lucke. "But now I need to find Cleo. I'm pretty sure he's hiding upstairs in one of the rooms."

After Ivy's remark, Lucke began to rise from the wooden floor, but a sudden intense pain struck him, causing him to clutch his head.

"Ahhh!!!!!" He let out a scream, catching the attention of Emma, who sat on a wooden chair outside, engaged in conversation with Luna. Emma swiftly stood up and rushed into the house upon hearing his cries.

"Ahhhh!!!!!"

At that moment, a flood of memories started flashing in Lucke's mind. He first visualized two individuals standing over him—a girl with long black hair and brown eyes, and a man with short dark blue hair and brown eyes. The scene then shifted, and he witnessed a house engulfed in flames while he stood by helplessly, watching it burn.

Unbeknownst to him, Lucke began screaming uncontrollably.

"No, they're not dead, they're not dead, they're not dead!!!!!" His words echoed, leaving Ivy bewildered and unsure of what was happening or how to respond.

As Emma stepped into the house, she could immediately hear the sound of Lucke's screams. Acting swiftly, she moved towards him and asked,

"What's wrong, what's wrong?"

Ivy's voice shook as she responded, "I'm not sure. He was completely fine a minute ago, but suddenly started screaming and clutching his head."

Upon hearing Ivy's explanation, Emma grabbed Lucke's hand, lowering herself to his level. Urgently, she asked, "What's wrong Lucke, what's wrong?"

Lucke remained silent, and the memories that had flooded his mind seemed to fade away, along with his screams. He stared at the palm of his hand and softly uttered, "I remember." But as he said those words, his vision blurred, and he slowly collapsed onto the ground.

Hearing the commotion, Cleo rushed downstairs. His eyes widened with fear as he saw Ivy frozen with terror and Emma anxiously standing over Lucke, who laid on the floor.
