When no one was paying attention, Lu Jueyu used the bamboo basket as a cover to take out a basin of ice cubes from her own space. She placed the basin between her and her husband and fanned her husband and son slowly.

Cool breezes from the ice basin reduce the heat and make the weather more bearable. Dong Li and Li Chenmo fell asleep quickly due to this.

While fanning them, Lu Jueyu looked around and found that most of the villagers were sleeping under the trees. She sighed as she looked at the way their clothes were soaked with sweat.
