Though Lucifer's concern-filled voice felt nice (somewhere, deep-down), hearing the exact same sentence for the thousandth time made it a bit boring. Annoying, even.

I stopped for a second, making us take a short break in our journey through the hallway.

/"Lucifer... Please. I am well aware, and it would be great if you stopped reminding me. Thanks./" I was trying my best to sound calm, but I reckon my eyes betrayed my distress. And my voice sounds rude no matter what, so why do I even bother? Nevermind.

The two demons stared at me for a short while, then looked at each other, exchanging a meaningful look. As if they both were baffled, why am I doing this, if I am so „well aware/".

/"Look... I can see your points, I understand them, and I know why neither of you wants me to accept the offer. But, I made up my mind; it's worth the possible trouble./"
