He loved Avery. O.B. knew that for certain now. And he wanted to tell him. He would offer his body to Avery along with his declaration. It would be the first time he’d have sex with someone who he was fully conscious he loved. No, they wouldn’t have sex, they’d make love. In some bizarre way he felt like a virgin, like this really would be his first time. O.B. smiled at the thought.
Suddenly O.B. had doubts. What if Avery didn’t feel the same way? He hadn’t really considered that before.
He did say “I love you” that night in his sleep.
Yeah, but how do I know he meant me?
He hugged me tight and said it. Of course, he meant me.
He could have meant Coco.
Don’t be a shithead. He loves Coco but you don’t hug a guy and think of a cat! He meant me.
That debate settled, O.B.’s mind went in another direction.
