Chapter 10: Capable Workers

Walking home from school, the fangirls and fanboys were screaming as Ronin, Aka, and Miyo walk with Momoyo.

"Ahhh, I really want some peach juice and some meat buns right now. You'll treat me, right? Ronin~" Momoyo clung to him and Aka quickly pried her off.

Momoyo has started to get softer throughout the years. She wasn't just a one tracked meathead anymore.

Though she developed another problem. She was a flirt.

"Hey, Aka-chan, Miyo-chan. My peerless beauties with jade like skin and sword like eyebrows. Won't you ditch this guy and have a nice date in chinatown with me?" Momoyo used her so-called cool stare at them.

"Ew..." The twins brutally shot her down. "Ugh! That hurts you know? What happened to the worst thing she could say is no?" Momo whined.

"Where did you get that pickup line anyways? It's terrible and disgusting." Aka looked at her coldly through her high-tech visor that looked like a blindfold.

"I feel dirty, I should probably take a nice, long bath after that." Miyo shuddered and Momoyo was sent reeling.

"Why do you even keep flirting with Aka and Miyo, Momo? You already know they'll just shoot you down." Ronin sighed at her antics.

"Well, first of all. They're the most beautiful girls I have ever laid eyes on. And second, I might be straight, but there are just no worthy men around." Momoyo sighed.

"Then go with Hume, he's strong." Aka shooed her away.

"The hell you say?" Momoyo glared at her and Ronin rolled his eyes.

"Then don't bother us. You know what? Here, have this and stop being annoying." Ronin smacked her with a wad of ten thousand yen bills.

She wouldn't let that crap slide with anyone else. But they were close enough to do that.

She let her tongue out at them. "Thanks for the money, arrivederci." Momoyo was gone like the wind.

"You do know that she would most likely just spend it all on gambling and other useless things, right?" Aka looked at him sternly.

"Like that amount of money means anything to us. And look, no Momo around. She's a bit too loud for my tastes." Miyo was pleased with his decision.

"Aka, there's two of us and only one of you." Ronin sided with Miyo.

"Tch, fine." Aka grumbled and they went to their HQ to hire some people.

After all, Ronin got wind of some people that were bound to be interesting.

__Gugel HQ__

Arriving at their building, employees bowed and they waved at them as a signal to be at ease.

The trio quickly arrived at their office. "Bring Gyoubu Shakadou here and his group." Ronin radioed his secretary.

Shakadou and a quartet of teens arrived. Though the eldest was a young woman now. (Pic)

"Well... This is embarrassing, we lunged on the offer immediately. But it's you huh?" Shakadou scratched his head sheepishly.

"Shakadou-san, you know him?" The delinquent looking guy, wearing a tank top eyed Ronin with a smirk.

The twins stared at him with a freezing cold look though. And he quickly thought that he was off limits. As he rubbed his neck subconsciously.

Feeling something tighten over his neck. "Umu, it's nice to see you again Shakadou. Ex assistant master of the Kawakami temple." Ronin had a small smirk on his face.

"Whu? Is it lunch time?" A blue haired girl with verdant green eyes suddenly woke up from her sleep.

And the trio were impressed that she could sleep so peacefully while standing.

"Hey, Tatsuko, Ryuhei. Be on your best behavior. This is worth a lot of money." The young woman chided them.

"Yeah, listen to Ami-nee!" The youngest who has salmon pink hair shouted at them.

"Angel, stop shouting. We're indoors for fuck's sake." Ami rubbed her temples and she thought that a massive opportunity was being washed down the drain.

"Lively bunch you have here, Shakadou." Ronin snorted and he sighed.

"Well, they're talented at least." Shakadou rolled his eyes and he wondered sometimes why he trained them.

"Alright, I want you guys to be a part of my forces. As you know, I am Kuki Ronin. But Mikado's Kuki corp. And Gugel are just sister companies. They aren't merged, so you will be my own force." Ronin offered to them.

"Really? I mean, we accept!" Ami could already see the money.

"Will we get lots of delicious food~" Tatsuko asked and he nodded.

"Sure, how about I give you a taste?" Ronin took out his bento and gave it to Tatsuko.

"W-wow. I'm hired, boss!" Tatsuko's sleepy eyes widened and she immediately saluted after tasting a luxurious lobster roll.

"Is that a lobster roll? Tatsuko! Give me a bite!" Angel started trying to poach Tatsuko's food.

But the sleepy looking teen didn't budge as Angel tried to pull on her arms.

'Interesting... I can't see how they're twins, but Ryuhei and Tatsuko are the power type. Angel is like a younger Momoyo, but less refined and strong. While Ami is the technique type. And with Shakadou rounding them all together, they're pretty decent.' Ronin was pleased with this hiring.

"So, still gonna hire us? Don't blame me if Ryuhei tries to creep up on you and take your butthole." Shakadou shrugged.

"S-Shakadou-san? What in the world are you talking about?" Ryuhei broke into a cold sweat, along with his siblings. Feeling the fury of Aka and Miyo.

Their bloodlust almost choked them with how thick it was.

"What a bunch of scary high schoolers." Shakadou fixed his collar a bit. Feeling his instincts kick in due to the danger he felt.

'Women sure are dangerous.' Shakadou wiped a bit of sweat on his brow. Their odachi and wakizashi were surely not for show.

"Wait, what's our salary?" Ami asked and Ronin put up a finger.

"One million a year? Isn't this a bit cheap?" Ami complained.

"He means a month." Aka corrected her and their eyes almost popped off of their sockets.

"We're rich baby!" Angel cheered immediately and Tatsuko thought if she could use her salary to pay him for his meals.

"And I heard that Angel here likes video games? How about being the fake CEO of my company?" Ronin thought that maybe she would be interested in learning about tech.

"Huh? Me?" Angel blinked dumbly as that was a huge responsibility.

"I'll even increase your salary ten times." Ronin dangled a bait.

"Do it! Do it I say!" Ami shook her immediately and Angel was still dumbstruck.

"Ami-nee! You're the one who's shouting now! Stop shaking me!" Angel got dizzy.

"How about little old me?" Shakadou raised a brow and he thought that he was being sidelined a bit.

"You'll train people in the Kawakami style martial arts." Miyo tossed him a file.

Ronin asked for the kids with them back in the organization when his company got successful.

And Mikado agreed in exchange for 10% of Gugel. Which they agreed upon quickly. After all, Kuki corp. Had to send Claudio and Zozuma to reel them in for years.

Or they would kill doctors and psychiatrists left and right due to paranoia or their insanity.

And now that they were in pretty good condition, why not put them to good use as shadow guards?

"Your friends from back then huh?" Shakadou grinned and he thought that was just how he like them.

Feisty and would kill you without a doubt. "You got yourself a deal, boss." Shakadou shook his hand and they got the Itagaki siblings as well as the ex assistant master of Kawakami temple.

__Kawakami temple__

"Hey master." Ronin greeted Tesshin casually and the old man nodded at him.

"Ronin, what's a busy man need here in this humble temple?" Tesshin rubbed his beard.

"Well, remember our deal back then? I want to introduce you to the members who will run the temples I will build." Ronin introduced his previous comrades and they could reintegrate to society now. So Tesshin didn't see anything wrong with them.

Though a faint smell of blood was still on them. But he had faith that Ronin had them under control. He was his most stellar student after all.

After he went under him, Ronin and the twins never killed someone. Which was so easy for them to do to have an advantage.

So his opinion of them rose and Tesshin trusted him like he was one of his own. Momoyo was also more subdued due to making friends with them.

Ageha was busy and she can't always spend time with Momoyo. So the two can't fight regularly.

"Alright, as promised. You will dig up springs for Kawakami water and you can sell it with the temple's seal of approval. Just send it here first for inspection." Tesshin thought that it would be a good way to spread a dying art.

"Nice doing business with you master." Ronin shook hands with him and he suddenly moved like a blur.

His hand was covered with blue energy and Tesshin's hand was also covered with ki.

"Good, you're not getting rusty master. Japan needs you after all. Nay, the whole world. You're like a super weapon that's preventing wars from happening." Ronin smiled at him.

"Cheeky student of mine. That was dangerous you know?" Tesshin saw his life flash before his eyes. Though he wasn't the strongest man in the world for nothing.

"Momoyo would still fall for that, she's still a bit green. So I want her to develop more first." Ronin mused and Tesshin sighed.

"Take care of her Ronin." Tesshin asked of him and he nodded.

"I will, she won't fall to the dark side anyways. She's too bright." Ronin chuckled and Tesshin nodded seriously.

They left and Tesshin went into deep thought. "You are correct, but that doesn't mean you're right. Momoyo might explode if you don't fight her seriously, Ronin." Tesshin hoped that it won't come to that.

Tesshin could feel it. He was a teen once, a growing hunger. It was the reason why he rose to the top in the first place.

"Maybe if she gets laid? No! I can see it if it's Ronin!" Tesshin self destructed as he thought of Momoyo getting together with Ronin to curb her battle instincts.

__Secret base__

At the pent house of the building. Ronin, Aka, and Miyo turned it into a fort that is the dream of every highschooler.

It was friday today, but none of the others are able to make it. Capt had a part time job, even if it was illegal due to his age.

Yamato was studying for a test, as well as Miyako, Gakuto, and Moro. Capt didn't give a rat's ass about it.

Koyuki was spending time with her stepbrothers, Aoi and Jun. Who they haven't seen yet.

And Kazuko was going to train with Momoyo. Something about Tesshin finally going to shape her up.

"Momo must be fuming right now." Ronin chuckled as she probably asked Tesshin to agree to his demands. Not that she needed to do so in the first place.

"Hmm, she must be. Can't even spend her money you gave to her." Miyo chortled and Aka snorted.

"She should be saving it. I know that she pays her debts at the end of the month, but Momo keeps on getting in debt because she has nothing left after paying." Aka huffed.

The trio smiled and they went into a comfortable silence.

"It seems that we didn't need to kill all the enemies at the other side, Ronin." Aka cuddled up to him.

"We've gone so far, look at where we are now." Miyo took his other side and Ronin hugged them tightly.

"Yeah, we're living our lives. It's hectic, but I won't trade it for anything. We can be poor for all I care. As long as we are free." Ronin closed his eyes with a smile.

"We can't forget our idiot friends, now do we?" Aka roped in the Kazama family and the others.

"They might be annoying, but they sure can give color to life." Miyo agreed.

"Hmmm~ I guess we do owe Mikado for taking us in." Ronin patted their heads and they enjoyed some time alone.
