Chapter 25

The news about the bakery owner spread but Lara managed to kept it minimal, the way they brutally tortured her, cut off both of her limbs and then treated her so that she wouldn't die from bleeding. It was cruel and inhumane but the worst was when It was discovered that it was one man's doing.

" Who could possibly be? " Park Soo-Hyun think out loudly as she hand over a cup of coffee to Lara who was sitting on her chair, It was Saturday morning when she planned on finishing her business with Magan and then they received the news which was both bad and good.

She took a sip and then put down her mug on her luxurious office desk " I once told Kyle that I wanted to cut someone's limbs " Secretary Park gasped and the laughed at her in which she suddenly stopped when she saw Lara's frowned face, 

" You can't be serious, do you think Kyle did that for you ? "

" No, She might think I did it . She will be more terrified of me than she already is " When she spoke like that with a face of dissapointment it remind Soo that even a monster like her has a heart.

She looked at her and then teased, " I thought you said you don't love her anymore " She had a grin on her face when she spoke to Lara casually just like how normal friends does,

" Of course I don't . I will just hate it if she will be afraid of me "

" Mmh! Do you want to screw with her? I know you don't torture her like your other partners, do you want to have a normal relationship with her, cuddling, picnic and stuffs? " Soo asked curiously as she focused her gaze on lara.

" You know it's impossible, I should have done that earlier and I can't make her my sub, she will run away from me if she saw my true self"

" That's why I told you to take it slowly, make her understand you and you should listen to her excuses, I know you are mad that she left you and you turn out this way because of her but what if there was a reason Lara?"

" I don't really know "

" She loved you and still does "

" I don't know "

" Of course she does " Soo-Hyun screamed out angrily but Lara was even more pissed, they always like this when they are alone, fighting and arguing but don't dare to intervene, It's just the way they shared their one thing in common. Rage.

" I have gone too far to allow weaknesses, she use to be a soldier but she is weak and fragile, I would just have her beside me and look after her but I can't cross the line "

" Lara...? "

" Stop it!. And it's boss don't get carried away, prepare my car and and tell Helen Rodriguez and Jimmy Wang to see me ASAP! ". Secretary Park left to call the two directors of Empire Group, these are among few people who get to see the chairwoman's face and have authority to report to her directly.

Lara sat down as she digested what Secretary Soo said , Maybe Kyle had a reasonable excuse! No?

Of course she does, however what the point of it? The milk is already split and she wouldn't risk to have more confusion, not when she has other plans on her mind,

Right now all she wanted to focus on was Megan and the compan's upcoming event, Although her demons might lose control but she will hang there as much as she can,

She knew if she rest she will lose it all and she can't let that happen.

Few minutes later the two directors entered the office each one of them tried to stand out more. Jimmy pushed Helen and Helen tried to shame him, at the time they focused on Lara's frosty expression they froze in an instant and apologized immediately,

" It seems like it's time for your retirement " She threatened, both of them , they looked at each others and started to blame one another until Lara yelled " Is this how you have been managing my company, Helen? ".

" I'm sorry, This guy is a weirdo, always trying to get under my skin, my apologies It will never happen again " She said calmly, She was over fifteen years older than him but this youngman has been trying to act like he was her peer which irritated Helen so much.

Lara's eyes shifted from Helen to Jimmy Wang who was now wearing a serious face ,

" I trusted you , that's why you are here. Jimmy you know you are here for a reason, No?, unless you earn your place..." .

" Understood! Boss "

He answered energetically, not like a stubborn child he was a moment ago, Lara eyes were glued to both of them, the directors she rely on so much.

On one hand is a woman who have help to build this company and the other is the future of the company, both of the are important possessions and she wasn't ready to let even one of them to go astray, " Good! " She said and continued.

" You will be seeing me from here to there starting Monday so I want you to treat me casually in front of other employees " both of them looked at each others and then back to Lara, " How could-," they wanted to protest but Lara send them a dagger stare from her side eyes,

" Cut off me again and I'll send both your heads flying "

It was an empty threat but they were all so afraid. who knows what this manic would do when she is mad, The all stood there quiet as they listen

" I don't think I need to explain much, Jimmy Wang, that Aaron boy is under you right? I want to work under him and the last thing is secretary Park will now be assistant Park. I didn't think I need three secretaries ".

" She will take care all of my work. So you will be reporting to secretary Park starting now".

" About everything ? " Jimmy asked astonished.

" Isn't it obvious? "

Lara replied annoyingly, she hated being around people so she just gave them more information about an upcoming even and disperse them but she asked Helen to stay for a moment. " Give me at least one piece of good news " Lara said calmly.

" Everything up to the end of the last week? ".

" Are you becoming blunt as you aged? You use to be so energetic, I'm a bit dissapointed ".Lara frowned. She wanted blood so much that she couldn't control herself anymore.

She didn't want to came clean that she own the Empire Group because they will say you are a woman, how could this be? Where are your sugar daddies?.Is that because of your pretty face? . And she was too not stable to handle anymore venom comes her way.

She wasn't afraid of cusses but she was scared of what she will turn to be.

" Give me three days, you want them dead or alive? ".

" Of course I would like to see that fuxxer with balls of a horse with my own two eyes". Lara said excitedly, but that wasn't exactly her intention, she wanted to skin him alive and It was written all over her face,

How dare he stalked her, he's really tired of living.

She wanted to be alone so she waved her hand telling Helen she can go out.

There were few paper she needed to settle before going out to settle other debt.

Lara didn't came back home last night or maybe she did but I haven't seen her since we had out little moment yesterday, When I wake up I felt a little off so I decided to hit the gym since I have never hit it for months now

Even my body that was my greatest treasure started to get out of shape, And I can't let that happen under my watch. I threw on a sweatpants and started with a little jogging to warmup before heading to the equipment,

I didn't want to offend Lara by using her equipments so I run down the street to the public gym, I pay no attention to muscular guys that were taking glances at me and smirk. I knew those expressions, I have seen them couple of times and I learn not to be swayed by them.

As I lazily walked and grabbed the heaviest metal in the room everyone eyes were fixed on me , with ' How is it possible ' , I know, my body was nothing much but I had a quite reputation back in the military which I do not wish to remember.

My life is new. I don't have to hurt anyone anymore and that woman is no longer in our lives, I can handle Lara's temper as long as it's jus-,

The cold hand touched my back and I froze , the faint smell of sweet that was getting intense as the time goes was familiar, too awfully familiar not to pay attention to but I couldn't bring myself to turn my back and face her.
