Prologue

In the world of Brightwell, where white magic lights can be seen by every resident, Valerie is a child living apart from her peers. "Stay here Valerie, don't bother us, your uncle will get angry"

Young Valerie was always left by her mother to be with a different guy each year. Her mother introduces the boys as her uncles. But even though Valerie was young, she does not patronize the men his mother introduce with.

"Valera! Where are you! Why are you taking so long!" Another stranger guy for Valerie's eyes. "Is he my dad?" Valerie always looks for her dad, because for plenty of guys entering their house, no one introduces as her dad. "Why is that kid still here?! Whose child is--"

"Come on, let's just leave him alone, please" Young Valerie was in tears as her mother and the stranger guy came out. Years passed, Valerie was fourteen years old, there was a change in Valerie's life and she doesn't like it. "You're going out with another guy? Where's my daddy? did my dad really leave us?"

"Silence your daughter now! Why don't you just send her away!" the man said. "Mom, don't you love da--"

"I love your daddy Valerie, I love him so much! That's why I keep you, I took care of you even though it is against the rules. You are the only one left to me."

Valerie believes her mother, but she couldn't stop to get curious. "Valera!" The man held her mother firmly in front of her. "You know the rule Valera!, in fact, if you just don't obey my commands, THAT CHILD COULD HAVE BEEN GONE NOW!"

"i-I knows, let's go" Her mother left without even looking at her. "As always" She whispered.

As Valerie grows older, she becomes more and more aware of what the man is doing to his mother. Until she, herself, knew why, at the age of 22. "Can you stay away from me! Why do I have to go with you?"

"What's wrong with you Valerie, of all the women I meet you are just the stubborn one! Aren't you being taught right ?!" "Excuse me?! What if I slapped you with all my books at home!"

Valerie left without obeying the wishes of the man and her mother. She doesn't like this, she believes this isn't right. "VALERIE! What did you do !? Why didn't you obey ?! Didn't I told you to do everything that Ced wants?!"

"Why do I have to do that ?! I would rather have my books than going out with men" Valerie didn't expect her mother to be able to make her feel like she was incompetent. "Valerie!" at this point she knew that her mother is really angry, and when she disobeys it, she will disown her.

"Fine" despite Valerie's disobedience, she obeys her mother and obeys all the orders of the man she is with. It's still her mother. "Look, this is awesome, do it for me" the man command.

Valerie took a deep breath and lifelessly forced her hands to waste magic. "Good girl" Valerie turns her head the other way in discus when the man strummed her hair.

Every day she was with different men, and different men were abusing her. But Valerie always made sure that she would never have children with any of her men. Whether the man is good or not.

"You're so stubborn Valerie!"

"oh yeah? What are you gonna do now to escape?"

"You can't escape from me!"

"Don't break the rule Valerie you know the consequences!"

She was harassed by men many times especially when she was mistreating them, not obeying all their commands. "I told you to obey their commands!" Valerie didn't care even if everyone was angry with her, even her mother.

"Why don't you obey? Do you want to be punished? Thank you at your age you can't be hurt by those who are with you" Even though the law was against her wants, he wanted to take care of himself, for the man he would love.

She wanted to give birth to the man she was sure that would never leave. For the thought that she didn't want to be like her mother. She thinks that if her dad didn't leave them, her mom might not treat her like this.

3 years later

According to her research, a tree in a forest that can be seen in the world of mortals serves as the door of all dimensions. And that tree was present through all dimensions. "Valerie are you sure with what you are going to do? Isn't this dangerous?"

"I'm determined to do Mica,"

"What if the king finds out?"

"I'll be back before the king finds out."

"Promise?"

Valerie stopped reading her notes on how to cross different dimensions. "I can't promise" Valerie replied sadly. "Maybe there are other ways to get things done, so you would never leave" Valerie had no more idea how to fix their King's rule, no one was listening to her.

Except for her friend, Mica, but still, her friend was afraid to disobey the rule. "Sorry, I really don't want to stay in this world" Valerie is planning to move on to another dimension and hopes that she will find a way to help improve her world.

"Be careful Valerie" Mica said. "You too Mica" Valerie wears a coat that will surely no one would notice her. After saying goodbye to each other, Valerie runs and tried to hide.

When she arrived at the banned place in their world, she saw a lot of dead trees and plants. The place was cold as death. This place was banned for no reason. But Valerie believes that the King banned this place for a reason that this is where we could find the magical tree.

When she saw the only healthy tree with a green leaves. She knew this is the magical tree. Before she could do what she wanted to do, she made sure that no one would see her.

She buried the book besides the tree and cast a spell that would let the buried book sync in all dimensions. Her hands glow as a sign that her incantation was success. So she stood up and touch the tree that she believes it is the tree that was synced through all the dimensions. Without that tree, the magic spell is useless to cross dimensions.

She performed the spell and soon after, she felt a strange power running through her veins. Spreading from the tip of her head into the tip of her feet

Seconds later, she felt she was still in the same spot so she immediately opened her eyes. To her surprise, she was at the same spot, standing in front of a tree, but a different place. She did so successfully, Valerie was almost in tears as she was able to cross to another dimension.

Lots of flowers around and lots of children playing around. When she saw a cloud of smoke from the children's magic coming out, she realized she was in the Lochwynne world.

Valerie thought of walking around this world, she couldn't use her magic because she would be noticed, or worst she might get killed before she does her task. She will not use it until she would know someone to trust.

Valerie sat on a bench beside the tree, away from children. She knew she would spend a lot of time waiting. She believed in faith and destiny, and she hopes that at least one person can help her sooner or later.
