Here comes disaster

She sat for a few minutes and again she saw the blue smoke filling in, she hoped it would bring her back to her real world, but no, she was still in that position, but the wizards were no longer around, as well as the man.

"How long would it take for me to go back?" Sophie shouted as she looked up.

"Why are you here?" Sophie heard a female voice, as she looked, it was again the woman named Valerie. Now, she can look at her face properly, they had the same emerald eyes, while the man's eyes were blue. "I agreed that you could stay here, but I have not permitted you to own the place." The man, who was standing not too far, said.

"Sorry, I didn't expect to see you again today, because you said that you rarely stay here." The woman sat in the same seat as yesterday, and so did the man. "You love to walk," The man said, Sophie also noticed that the girl often walked around and had never seen her use magic.

"I appreciate the surroundings more when walking" Sophie smiled at Valerie's remark, Sophie also prefers walking especially in Redacre as the beauty of the area was more noticeable with the simple flowers scattered around.

Sophie just listened as she might get an answer by listening, maybe it was the way of the old lady to tell her the truth, but why here? Why only in one place and what do these two have to do with it? She didn't know how long they had been talking, but she finds out that Valerie was also fond of the book until the blue smoke occupied the area again.

Sophie opened her eyes, expecting that she would see the same spot, but no, she was standing and facing the tree.

"Wow, come on" Sophie whispered wearily.

"Hmm, what's up with that tree anyway," Sophie thought deeply and walked around the tree until she looks at a familiar spot— again. "Oh wow, thank you, lady, you changed my position, but you just made me stand!" Sophie cried out in despair, even though she's not sure if the lady can hear her.

And as she expected, she saw the two walking back and talking, the two seem close because they were laughing and sitting close to each other. Later, the two faces came closer to each other. Sophie seems to know what was going to happen, so she turned and faced the tree again.

"So, now I know why you removed me from that place and moved here facing the tree," Sophie said to the old lady even though she was not sure if she could hear her. While looking at the tree and waiting for the blue smoke to come out, she heard Valerie asked.

"We have known each other for long, but I still don't know your name, can you please tell me?"

No one answered and everyone was quiet, Sophie thought the two of them walked away, but when she faced them, she just saw them sitting and just staring at each other. "Don't tell anyone, okay?" Valerie nodded in response.

Sophie waits for the man to say his name, when suddenly the ground shakes, looking at the two but it seems calm, the two are talking but she can't hear. Blue smoke once again surrounded the place, as it continued to shake, it brought her to her world and she saw finally saw the old lady in front of her.

"What happened?" before the lady could answer, Sophie saw the neighboring tree was about to fall into their spot. Sophie's actions quickly hit the tree with magic and left the spot together with the old lady.

"Why?" Sophie look around in shock as she kept avoiding falling and flying objects. "Its source was anger and devastation," Myrtle said quietly.

Sophie arrived at the far end of the Redacre where there was not much house. "What the hell is this? Bring me back to the past," Sophie tried to remember the shattered details because of the quake. "Sorry, but my strength is gone, I have weakened after the quake." Sophie was humbled to think that she would never know the facts.

"I'm going to find my friend and find out if the former king has

anything to do with this quake." the length of old lady's glabella shrink with Sophie's last words. "It may be one of the acts of that former king, I have to leave." Sophie ignored the concern on the old lady's face and turned away.

Sophie runs to the dorm thinking Ria was there, but she fails to find her friend. She stayed there and looked around to see if anything was broken. "I guess everything's okay," Sophie eyed the lamp that had fallen from the table. She only noticed it now because she was only paying attention to her books cause Ria often fixed their dorm.

Sophie picked it up and fixed the stand then stared at it. Its smoke is black spinning, regardless of the smoke color, it is clear. The smoke opened partially, as Sophie glanced over at it, she noticed that there was a white light orbiting inside it. She couldn't see it clearly because it was covered with smoke.

"Sophie." it was a voice from Ria

"Ria, where are you from, Are you okay?" Sophie approached Ria to see if it had hurt.

"I'm fine, are you okay?" they sat together on the sofa.

"I just talked to the old lady."

"I told you to be careful." Sophie kept quiet because she didn't know if she would tell to Ria the truth that she was tasked by an old lady to save their world and that the book lied. "I looked around to find out what was going on then I found out that the former king and his people had entered again."

'Someone entered our world, isn't forbidden? Why do they keep disobeying the rules' Sophie's thought.

"It is now in the minds of all that the former king was responsible for the quake, once again the soldiers chased someone." Ria's forehead twitched and Sophie decided to ask. "What happened? Was it caught?" Ria shook her head.

"No, almost half of the soldiers tried to catch him but did not get caught," Ria said to Sophie, startled. "Phie! Thousands upon thousands of soldiers and almost half chase but still didn't get caught."

"How is that possible? Is it a muggle they are pursuing or is it one of us?"

"I don't know either, but they are sure, it's a muggle" They were both silent and could not believe that half of the thousands of soldiers had been killed by just one person. "Phie, I remember that guy was armed," Ria thought to remember what she found out. "No, it's not just a weapon, it's a kind of magic."

"Ria, it's obvious that the king did it and for sure they are prepared before the attack."

"Ahh, yes." Ria stood up and lay down on her bed. After a few minutes of rest, Sophie thought to tell Ria what she had learned about the past. "Ria, regarding the past we studied," she observed if Ria would respond.

"Ria," she called again. "I'm listening," Ria replied as she blinked.

"I don't think she was a spy ... or maybe she was a spy, but I found out ... and I saw that she loved the king and the king feels the same way." Sophie just looked at Ria and watched her reaction.

Instead of shouting SERIOUSLY, as Sophie had expected, she calmly rose. "Sophie, how can you be so sure? How did you know AND see?" Ria just stared at Sophie. Just before Sophie replied, a cloud of black smoke came out and spit out a Parchment Scroll.

"The palace called for a gathering," Ria said after reading the Parchment scroll.

"Maybe because of the quake?" Sophie created a portal to the Palace and they enter it together.
