A Mysterious Savior

"Please, help them," the man continued.

"I still have a long way to go, and my resources will be short sooner or later. Let's do 'give and take,' do you agree?"

"Yes, yes, I agree," the man's face suddenly brightened a little and quickly answered.

"Money, relics, or whatever you want as long as we can afford it, we'll give it." The man was hurrying, as if he was afraid that Glin would suddenly change his mind. He didn't know Glin was not even thinking about it.

"Seems like you care too much about your comrades." Glin smiled behind his cloth mask, and walked towards the group of people.

Glin nodded. "My comrades are like family to me."

"However, I don't really need money or relics right now. Do you have something else?"

Following behind Glin, the man was filled with hope a few seconds ago, but when he heard Glin's question, his face expression suddenly hardened. 'What does their party have now?'

The man went silent for a while. Then, an idea suddenly came up to his mind.

'Information. That's right! Every adventurer of the Great Woods needs information!' The man figured it out and finally knew what to offer.

"Young sir, how about we give you an information we acquired first hand?"

"Information?"

When Glin heard the man, his steps came to halt and looked back.

"Yes."

"Give me a clue."

"It's the White Crystalline Bone," the man hurriedly replied.

Unexpectedly, Glin eyes widened. But then, he calmed himself and fixed the black cloth masking his face.

"White Crystalline Bone, is it?"

"Certainly," the man said confidently. "With your strength we saw, I know you can obtain it, unlike us then. So please help us."

Without much thought, Glin nodded in agreement then continued walking towards the injured people.

"Brother!" The woman, Alicia, worriedly called when the middle-aged man and Glin came to them.

"It's going to be fine. He agreed to help us," replied the middle-aged man.

At the same time, Glin took the healing potion from his bag and began checking the pulses of the unconscious people. Fortunately, the lives of the two were not yet on the edge; their bleeding wounds were hurriedly stopped by the team, otherwise they would have died already.

Glin poured the potions into their mouths and waited. More than twenty seconds later, their wounds started to heal itself. Lots of white smoke oozed out of the wounds and instantly turned to mist. Everyone could see that the healing potions' effect were quicker than they expected; they all sighed in relief.

But when they expected it done, Glin again took another glass bottle containing a different potion. Unlike the previous one which was luminescent red in color, the potion this time was luminescence green. It was very similar to the Regeneration Potion he had used before when he got injured.

Glin opened the bottle. This time it had a dropper apparatus on the cap itself, hinting that the potion wasn't meant to be drank all in one go.

"What's that?" The middle-aged man before couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.

"It's an advanced-grade Regeneration Potion," Glin answered shortly. "Your comrades have lost too much blood. We need to restore their vitality, if you want them to wake up sooner."

'Advanced-grade Regeneration Potion.' The name alone was enough to surprise everyone. Of course, they knew it. Regeneration Potions were the best medicine against physical injuries there is. Calling it 'advanced-grade' means it has stronger effect.

"But that's… very expensive," the man lowered his voice at the end of his sentence. He never thought Glin would be so kind as to use his Regeneration Potion to help them who are strangers.

Glin put 4 drops each on the mouths of the two-unconscious people.

He didn't regret it. Even if these people did not offer him an exchange, he'd still help them at least once more. Now that he will be benefiting from it, he thought it'd be better to do more help.

"Don't worry about it," Glin mysteriously smiled behind his mask. This potion was actually brewed by Theian. He only took it from Theian's personal storage; he still doesn't know how to make an advanced-grade potion himself.

The people around him were unexpectedly astonished. They glanced at each other.

"You must be from a rich big family," said the muscular man who had never spoke to Glin before.

Glin only nodded.

"By the way, my name is Arthur, Arthur Verrany," the middle-aged man before introduced himself. "This is Alicia Verrany, my younger sister."

After him, the others also introduced themselves: The muscular guy was Gran Darft and the tall handsome guy with the magic sword was Harel Crown. They also introduced the other two currently still unconscious, Red Hinsley and Hestia Kilerian.

However even with their efforts, Glin wasn't very interested to know them. There is only too little chance for them to meet in the future, he thought.

"Tell me about the White Crystalline Bone."

"Ah! Right," the man, Arthur, nodded right away and then started narrating.

"On our way here, 12 days ago, we discovered a cave where we saw a long dead giant creature's remains. At the same time, and we saw there were fragments of White Crystalline Bones present in the giant skeleton which was still intact."

"Have you taken some of it?" Glin asked curiously but Arthur slowly shook his head.

"We couldn't," said Arthur and the others nodded.

"When we were about to extract the crystals from the bones, we also found out that the cave was actually a habitat of some savage beasts, the Bat-head Apes. We were chased by lots them out of the cave and we all run for our lives."

"However young sir, with your level, I believe you can obtain the treasures on that cave."

"Where's the place?" Glin asked directly to the point. He could tell that they weren't lying.

"Woodland of Graver, northern side, about a kilometer south of the river that separates Lumber Nest Region from Woodland of Gravers Region. The cave is found at the base of mountain covered with rich soil for good vegetation. The place should be the most secluded on that area because it is covered with over-grown trees," explained Arthur.

"Was there anyone else you've told about this other than me?"

"None, only you, young sir."

"Good. Don't tell anyone about it in three months."

After his demand, Glin once again fixed his cloth mask and took his sword, before suddenly turning his back on the group of people. These people didn't know what he was going to do next, but they quickly realized it when they saw him walking towards the direction where he first appeared.

"Ah wait… Young sir, could you please tell us who you are. Just in case.." Arthur hurriedly stopped Glin who was about to leave unceremoniously.

Glin glanced to his side but choose not respond.

"Please, even just a clue," Arthur and his comrades still begged persistently.

"Tsk." In the end, Glin could only agree lazily. 'Is it bad being saved by an unknown guy?' he sighed inwardly.

"I'm someone from the Hiyerman family," he said and continued walking.

"Hiyerman family?" Everyone ran even more curious as they stared at Glin's figure, vanishing in the dark shades.

"Huu," Arthur exhaled. "I didn't expect him to have such a high background."

"But that guy was using the famous Wiseflick Light Sword Style from southwest region of Islenovelin Kingdom, not the Hiyerman Sword Style," Harel inserted. As a magic swordsman, he seemed knowledgeable when it comes to the world of swordsmanship.

They all glanced at each other.

"If he's lying, is there a chance that he's the one they called 'Dark Flash' Marco of the Valarian house?" Gran asked.

When they heard him, all of them went wordless but soon shook their heads.

"That's certainly not him. Dark Flash Marco has Darkness element while this young guy has Fire and Ice elements."

"Also, did you notice? He was hiding his magical presence."

Various speculations were made. If Glin was here, he would certainly think it is funny. He didn't know it was his fault for not knowing how reputable are the Hiyermans.
