One Fine Day

"Sir, Mr. Lucas is here."

"Let him come in," said a man with a pair of cold eyes.

A few moments later Lucas came in. He walked up to where that man was then threw himself on the couch place opposite of that man and lay down.

That man didn't seem surprised by Lucas's behavior, rather seem to have gotten used to it. He put out his cigarette while chuckling.

"What's wrong with you again?"

"Sebastian, have you ever been in love?" Lucas asks while looking straight to the ceiling, crosses his finger and lays it on his stomach.

Sebastian choked at Lucas's question. He looked at him in disbelief. "Lucas. If you tell me you lost ten million on a horse race, I'll immediately clear all the debt for you. But when it comes to this kind of matter, don't ask me." Sebastian looked away.

"You are not cool at all, brother." Lucas made a disappointed face. "You should act more like a president since you are one."

"You know the reason why I became president of the Trevillion company. Don't spout nonsense about me being cool or not, it's for your own sake." Sebastian folded his arms across his chest.

Lucas was silent for a moment. "Yeah." Lucas got up from the couch and sat absent-mindedly. He could see the skyline of the big city with a number of skyscrapers from inside Sebastian's office.

His older brother's office was on the highest floor of the Trevillion main building. Lucas turned to Sebastian's desk and found a nameplate that had President Sebastian Trevillion written on it.

Sebastian silently watched Lucas' movements as he surveyed his surroundings. He let out a faint smile looking at his brother. "How's the mansion I gave you? Do you like it?" Sebastian suddenly asked.

Lucas returned his gaze to Sebastian. "Quite nice. It's just that it's a bit troublesome when I get home. If I lose my attention even a little, I get lost. That place is really built inside a maze!"

"You're driving again?" Sebastian asked with a grim face.

Lucas flinched, he quickly explained while raising both of his hands surrendering, "Just once. I promise I won't drive again."

Sebastian took a deep breath. "You should avoid traveling alone, Lucas. If you run into that person while you're alone, I don't know what will happen to you."

"Yeah. I know." Lucas answered languidly. While putting down his hands.

Sebastian understood his brother's nature so he didn't speak at length. "Never mind. It's enough if you understand." Sebastian looked at his brother and continued. "So how are you feeling recently?"

Lucas stares at the ashtray where his brother put his cigarette butt for a while without answering him. He repeatedly opens and closes his mouth a few times trying to say something but nothing comes out.

"Do you take your medicine regularly?" Sebastian took a deep breath then closed his eyes and leaned back.

This time it didn't take time for Lucas to answer, "I do". But Lucas fell silent afterward; he looked around the office searching for something anxiously.

Sebastian glances at him then raises his arm and points his index finger to his desk. "There"

Lucas immediately turned his attention to the desk. When he sees the old baseball glove at the desk, he finally feels at ease. After a while he returns his gaze and rests his elbow on his knee while staring at the floor. "I'm sorry."

"Don't force yourself. I know coming here knowing you could possibly bump into that person on your way isn't something trivial."

Lucas sighed. He waited for a few seconds and said, "You ask me how I am feeling just now. Not bad but also not good at the same time."

Sebastian reached out to his cigarettes and lit one up. "Good. Now report."

Lucas had almost forgotten that his main purpose of visiting his brother was reporting the results of his recent bid. He sat up straight. "58 empty company. Got 7% Trevillion share from it. I have transferred the share to Michelin."

"How much do you spend?" Sebastian asks.

Rather than answering his brother, Lucas started to chuckle uncontrollably instead. Sebastian lifts his left brow seeing Lucas behavior.

"Quit it. You look like a fool." Sebastian demands.

"Whatever. You can call me a fool but I made 18 million from obtaining those empty shells." said Lucas proudly.

Sebastian hates to admit it but his fool little brother did have a talent twisting a bad deal into a money-making exchange, plus he knows how to manipulate stock. Sebastian can't help but shake his head and smile.

"Who knows a shut-in would turn into a monster when they are let loose." Sebastian looked up when he spoke.

"I'm not a shut-in. I just feel more comfortable working alone from home. Moreover, my work needs no employees. I can manage everything with my PC. Going to work feels really exhausting." Lucas complained.

"We have talked about this. Showing yourself is the only way of protecting you. That person won't dare to make a reckless move since you are out in the world."

"But still, that magazine cover is a bit too much you know." Lucas is getting annoyed.

Sebastian starts to laugh. "That was Susanne's idea. Don't blame me."

Lucas suddenly stood up and started yelling. "WHAT? Did she have a dead wish?"

"Hm. 7% out of 58 companies." Sebastian is mumbling to himself while staring blankly at the floor.

Upon hearing Sebastian, Lucas suddenly calmed down and sat down again. "Yeah. I wonder where he invests most of his funds and shares."

"I hope it's not somewhere out of our reach." Sebastian sighed.

"Do we really have to do this brother? Even if we lost the company or position we still have Michelin." Lucas states.

Sebastian turns to look at Lucas. "From the moment I become president of the Trevillion, it is not about money anymore. I decided to take everything from him. I won't let him have that chance anymore."

Both of them fell silent afterward. But not long after, Lucas's phone rings.

"Yes?" Lucas answered it.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"

Lucas almost threw away his phone when he suddenly heard a loud voice from his phone, but managed to hold it when he realized it was Michael who was speaking.

He immediately turned to look at Sebastian. Just as he expected, Sebastian was also as surprised as him upon hearing the loud voice. Sebastian looked at Lucas with an almost popped out eyeball.

"HELLO?" ARE YOU THERE STUPID LUCAS?"

"Yes, I'm listening. What's up?" Lucas stands up and waves his hand toward Sebastian.

Sebastian understood what his brother meant and nodded his head in agreement. Lucas immediately slid away.

Upon his leave, someone enters. Sebastian turns to that person. "Keep track of Lucas' activities."

"Yes Sir."
