Gina POV:(ch2)
BANG BANG BANG
BANG BANG BANG
빵야 빵야 빵야
I hear loud music and feel the floor vibrate beneath me. "Who in the heck is playing music this late," I say rolling over and checking my phone. "1am?!?!" I shout and rub my face, trying to wake up.
"Alright. Alright. Look I'm gonna go down there. And politely ask for the music to be turned down" I snarl, starting to put my slippers and robe on. I walk out the door, "crrraappp it's cold," I wince at the bitter cold and cover myself with the robe.
Following the sound of the music, I walk downstairs and sure enough, I-36, Mr. Adachi's apartment. I roll my eyes and decide it's not really worth being nice to this punk. I pound on the door "ばか!!!! (Moron!!!!)" I scream.
The music immediately cuts off, almost comically, and Yuto storms out of his apartment. "何ですか(what is it)" he says rubbing his eyes and stretching. How was this man asleep with all that?
"Keep it down. Some people have to work tomorrow" I rib, highly annoyed.
"Hey since you're up, you mind eating some ramen with me?" he says standing in the doorframe playing with the end of his shirt. He seemed....shy? Not shy but... hesitant, like he’d never asked someone out before (which can’t be what this is but still). Which was confusing because with a face and body like that I’m pretty sure he could seduce a blind woman.I roll my eyes and sigh, looking at him up and down with my arms crossed. I do need friends...I just moved here so...
"Fine." I mutter softly.
"What?" he asks, taking a step closer to me and smirking. I put my hand on his chest, look up at him....and PUSH HIS BEHIND BACK THROUGH THE DOOR. He looks at me with wide eyes as he stumbles backward into his apartment.
"I said I'll go...but you're paying," I joke, raising an eyebrow and taking a stance in the doorframe of his apartment. Looking around at the first part of his house, it seems really nice. His apartment is very modernly decorated, and smells nice and clean.
"Nice place." I compliment, still looking around. "T-thank you?" He says,
sounding like more of a question. He scrambles to put on a jacket and shoes.
"You can take those flip flops if you'd like," he mutters, low and husky.
"Dang that was attractive," I whisper to myself.
"Excuse me?" He says raising an eyebrow, now checking himself out in the mirror.
"huh?" I say back not expecting him to hear me.
"Huh?"
"what?"
"what?"
I snicker and turn to take my slippers off and put my feet in his flip flops.
"Hey these are actually comfy. Might have to steal them from you."
"Right...and you're obviously capable of stealing flip flops from a 6'1 guy." He says turning his head to smile at me.
I roll my eyes again, this dude really knows how to get on my nerves. I exaggerate a sigh, "Are we still going or??”
"Let's go!!!!!" He says taking my hand and pulling me out the door. He locks his apartment with one hand, and leads me down the steps of the complex.
~Time skip to inside Ramen shop~
"こんにちは! (HELLOOO)" He yells as we step inside the shop. Yuto's been holding onto my hand so tight, I don't even remember how we got here, because I was looking at his hand in mine the whole time. He converses with some people in Japanese but I'm not paying much attention. I'm too busy trying to figure out why he's still holding my hand.
~~~~~
I watch him grab noodles out of a ceramic bowl with his chopsticks. The smell of delicious ramen filling the air. It's kinda surreal, just yesterday I got in Japan and I'm already having ramen with a guy?? He looks up at me and I start to dig into my ramen bowl again. "Sorry are you okay?" He asks, wiping his mouth with a napkin.
"Chilling," I say between a bite of ramen.
"So what's your actual name?" he says putting his arms on the table, leaning in. "I'm Gina. Yuto right?" I ask him. I know that's his name but know just to make sure, I ask him again.
"Yeah. So what do you do?" He asks, looking at me gobble my ramen. "I came to Japan today...to model..." I explain, slurping some of the soup.
"Ahh I should've figured. You look like one," Yuto says, smirking devilishly. I put down the ramen bowl and look at him up and down. He turns back to look at me and quips an eyebrow in the air.
"What's your game, Yuto?"
"What game?"
"Why'd you bring me here?"
"You were in front of my room and I was hungry and didn't want to eat alone..."
"So you just do this often?"
"Do what?"
"Take random girls out?" I say, lifting an eyebrow.
He scoffs at me and leans back. Looking at me up and down before leaning back in again. I mirror his movements, and lean in closer.
"Would a person who brings you cookies not seem nice and friendly to you?" He explains, looking dead into my eyes. We stay like that for a moment. Just me and him. The only thing between us — our ramen bowls. He was right, if someone were to bring cookies on their first day moving in, I'd trust them too.
While we walk home, we talk about our favorite anime. Apparently, this guy is a huge dork. Yuto's really into One Piece and Attack on Titan, but he can't watch horror movies because he's absolutely terrified of them. Does it make sense? No. Attack on Titan isn’t exactly a “tame” anime to watch.
We end up in front of my apartment. "Well this is it" I shrug, turning around so my back is against the door, Yuto stands in front of me, his face practically unreadable. I smile and put my hands in my pocket. Rocking back and forth on my heels. He looks down at me, smiles, and looks away.
"Yeah 바보(idiot) I'll see you later," he says and pats me on my head. I turn my head in confusion. "바보?(idiot?) You speak Korean?" I ask, still confused on why he switched languages so quickly. Yuto walks away and turns around. "안녕 내 바보야 (bye my idiot)" he says, smiling and waving.
This boy really gets on my nerves.
