Hearing that the duo did not refuse to befriend them, Larry and the rest were very happy and they ran over to Jason and Max while following Raphael's lead. When they got to where Jason and Max were standing, Elizabeth took the initiative to greet them before the rest followed suit.
After the greeting, they left the hall together, and at the same time they were discussing about the face-off between Jason and Alex. While they were discussing, Anna, who was a shy girl and rarely talked in class, suddenly said while playing with her fingers.
"You need to be careful with the way you talk to Alex if not you are going to land yourself in trouble knowing the kind of person he is".
"Dealing with Alex shouldn't be a problem for me as long as he did not get his parents involved" replied Jason as he made it clear that Alex is not a threat to him.
"You don't get it do you, what I mean is that he might actually pick a fight with you" said Anna as he tried to state things clearly to him.
"Oh, thanks for the warning. Anyway he is not a threat to me as long as we are still within the school premises" replied Jason with a smile.
"Yes we are still on the school premises but have you forgotten that he is from a rich background and his father is also supporting the school financially, so with a little scolding, he will be left off the hook if he were to be caught picking a fight on you" asked Elizabeth with a concerned look on her face.
"Just because his father is rich does not give him the right to do as he pleases" replied Jason.
"We know but the thing is, with our background there's nothing we can do if his father gets involved even if Jane's parents were to get involved" replied Anna while playing with her fingers.
"Actually, my parents won't bother to disturb themselves with such matters," commented Jane in a low voice.
"I will do my best to avoid any encounter with him until we are done with the examination" replied Jason with a light laugh after hearing Jane's comment.
After their little chat, Max led them to the playground where they played until the bell rang and they all return to their block teaching continued until they were done for the day and decided to head home but before they left, Larry said he was going to keep a seat for the both of them while Raphael, Anna, Elizabeth and Jane will sit behind and in front of them. After which they left school. When they got to Max's place, he took Jason straight to his room to shower after greeting his parents.
After they were done with shower, they started attending to their homework and when they were done with their homework they started revising what they learned in school before Mrs. Kovacs came to inform them that lunch is ready and they left the room together and went to the dining room where they sat down and waited for Mrs. Kovacs to serve the meal.
After the meal had been served, they started eating and that was when Mr. Kovacs suddenly asked the kids about their study which they replied by telling him it went well.
"Daddy, Jason had a quarrel with someone today" said Max all of a sudden while they were eating.
"Why are you fighting with the other kids in school"? asked Mr. Kovacs.
"It was due to a party that our hall was organizing and we are supposed to contribute to the preparation of the party but Jason said he's not interested in the party and that was what led to their quarrel" replied Max.
"Party, at this age you are already discussing throwing a party" said Mr. Kovacs while glaring at Max.
"Father is not what you are thinking. It is just a party that would throw as a way of saying farewell to those that would be leaving the country. You know it would be difficult to keep in touch with those that would be leaving after the exam, so we are just hosting the party in the form of a way for us to gather together and have fun one last time before we go our separate ways" replied Max as he tries to explain things to his father.
"I see, so Jason, are you interested in going too?" asked Mrs. Kovacs while looking at Jason with a smile plastered on her face.
"No ma'am, I will be staying by my father's side since he should be discharged by then" replied Jason.
Hearing what Jason said makes Mrs. Kovacs remember that his father is really injured and Jason had not seen him since he was sent to the hospital and she regretted asking him about going to the party.
"It's a good thing that you decided to stay by your father's side since the party would be a waste of your time anyway" said Mrs. Kovacs with a warm smile.
Jason nodded his head in agreement with Mrs. Kovacs's words. But that was when Mr. Kovacs suddenly asked.
"What do you plan to do after the examination"?.
When he heard Mr. Kovacs's question, Jason stopped eating and replied.
"I will be assisting my mother with her trade".
"That's good to hear, about your admission into high school you can leave that to me. I will be paying for whatever requirement that is needed" said Mr. Kovacs after a while.
Hearing that Mr. Kovacs will be sponsoring him throughout his years in high school Jason was very happy and he quickly kneeled on the floor and started thanking Mr. and Mrs. Kovacs for their kindness since with their help, the burden on his mother would be reduced.
Seeing Jason's knee on the floor. Mrs. Kovacs quickly told him to get up from the floor and sit down and continue with his meal to which he didn't refuse.
Seeing that Jason was in a happy mood, Max suddenly said "hey Jason, since we are going to be in the same high school, we'll be living together right"?.
Jason laughed at what his friend just said and also replied
"of course, we will be living together, if I don't leave with you then who am I going to leave with".
"I don't know maybe you will be living with Alex hahaha" said Max while laughing at Jason.
"You are not serious Max, I would rather stay with a stranger than to stay with that spoiled rat" replied Jason as his mood took a turn when he heard Alex's name.
Seeing that the kids were joking Mr. and Mrs. Kovacs just continued with their meal and at the same time smiled at what they were saying. After they were done Jason followed Max to the kitchen to help with the dishes and when they were done with the dishes, they went to Max's room to play "plant vs zombie".
They played and took turns on the game until it was getting close to 6 pm which was when Mrs. Donald came to pick him up. She told them about the improved state her husband was in and was also informed of what Mr. Kovacs told Jason and also thanked them before they left the Kovacs's apartment.
