Chapter 60: Who is the Father?
Cecilia's POV
"What are you doing here?" A lady standing behind the counter stopped me as I approached Elbert's office holding a box.
"I… I want to see Elbert." I said nervously, wondering why she stopped me.
The last time I came here with Elbert, I had unrestricted access. Was it because he was the boss?
"Do you have an appointment with him?" She asked me, staring at me from head to toe.
At first, I didn't know why she was rude to me and the look on her face was horrible.
"Appointment? No, no. I just want to give him the things he requested." I informed her, lifting the box and she rolled her eyes sarcastically.
"I'm sorry, you can't see Doctor. Elbert without an appointment." The lady said curtly.
"But.. but…" I trailed off because it would sound awful if I told her I live with him.
"But what?" The lady asked scornfully.
