Staying together!

Franklin's POV

It's possible that under the influence of alcohol Sophia ended up undressing herself and then forgot about it. But still something seemed off.

It's been more than a month since I first saw her. I'm not sure if it was love at first sight but I definitely felt something intense. I had a urge to get to know her, befriend her and just talk to her day and night. Initially, I was just shy to approach her but after a month of looking at her from a distance, I found out that she is being bullied. Apparently, she is a poor scholarship student and the rich brats like to pick at her whenever they get a chance. Now I'm not sure how am I ever going to confess my liking for her. Even if she accepts my feelings, we can never be public couple or the whole school would turn against her. I do want to protect her from the whole world but not in college. I want her college life to be peaceful. Thus I am thinking of just befriending her for now and help her make some friends too.

And there she comes, looking beautiful as always, while I was waiting at the front door for her.

"I told you I'll go by myself" Sophia frowned.

"C'mon, It's my fault anyway for inviting you to the party and messing up your night. Let me at least try and make up for it."

"You were the one who invited me?" She questioned with a frown again.

"Yes, let's get into the car first."

Sophia's POV:

My eyes could not help but to burst out when I saw Franklin to pull over a Mercedes AMG right in front of me. I have barely seen this car on the roads because it's super expensive. I never thought I would ever get to sit in a Mercedes but now that I got the chance, it feels so weird.

"Do we really have to go in this car?" I enquired.

"Is it making you uncomfortable? I'm sorry but this is most decent car I have. We can book an Uber if you want but I would like to drop you myself. I told you, I wanna make up for last night."

I guess I had no choice but to just go in this Mercedes AMG. I won't deny, I low-key did want to sit in it once.

"By the way, why did I not see your mom or dad at the mans- your house ?" I asked Franklin after I was done looking at the interior of his car while on our way towards my house.

He chucked before speaking, "Even I rarely see my dad at home. I don't think he returned home last night. Mom must be with him too. I didn't see her."

"Right, they must be very busy. But was there no one at your home except the staff?" I was hoping to find out who exactly did I sleep with last night.

"No, I don't think anyone was home except you, me and Stefan. Andrew called me once I left the party with you. He said he would be spending the night with his friends. And Nicholas is also barely home. He handles his studies and company side by side. After all, he's going to take over the company after dad."

Stefan! Yes, he must be the one I slept with. Ugh, I have to tell him to not ever speak about this to anyone. But how am I going to face him. I was totally into my thoughts when Franklin pulled over.

"Here's the location you told me. Is your house near?" Franklin asked taking me out of my web of thoughts.

"Yes, it's right by the corner. I'll walk up to there. Thanks for dropping me and you don't have to make up for anything anymore. Bye." I said before slamming the door. All I could think about was Stefan.

As soon as I entered my house, my mom threw at plate at my face. Heck, I forgot, before dealing with Stefan, I had to deal with my family.

"Where were you the whole night? Who is the guy you were pleasing huh?" Mom said with no shame at all.

"I wasn't pleasing any guy, I was just dragged by my peers to some party." I had no excuse to make for spending the night out so I just said the truth.

"Party? Wow, are you listening John? Is this how you raised your daughter?" My mom laughed devilishly and I sure was scared to hell.

"You come right here." My mom dragged me inside her room and pushed against the cupboard.

"Aren't you shamed of doing such things being a girl? Don't you know we are poor? Instead of doing something and earning for the family, is this all you are doing? Is this why you went to that big university? I allowed you to go there only thinking that in future you would earn a lot. But no, I'm getting you out of that college righ-"

"Mom, out of the coll-college, wha-what do you mean." I couldn't help but sob and sob.

"Yes, you don't deserve to go there, you are just a spoiled brat."

"Mom, you can do anything you want to me, but don't get me out of the college. I want to study more and be something and make-make you proud mama." I cried terribly while my dad only looked at all of this without saying anything.

"I don't care you bitc- ugh I just want to beat you so much." My mom proceeded to slap me and I put my head between by legs in fear. But there was no slap. She stopped, my mom stopped.

"Now who the heck are you" My mom said.

I looked up to see no one other than Franklin.

"I'm sorry ma'am but you really need to calm yourself down before speaking to your daughter again so I'm taking her with me. And she's a scholarship student, even the college won't want to let her go. So, even if you get her out, I'm gonna get her in again. You can't hinder her education." Franklin said to my mom's face without any hesitation or fear.

Deep down, I was thankful to him but he just messed everything even more. Now my mother would be sure that I was actually with a guy last night. And she might never talk to me or even disown me. And for my dad, he might only think that disowning me would mean getting a burden off of his shoulder.

Franklin grabbed my hand tightly and pulled me out of the house. My parents just looked at him without saying a word. I wonder if they were scared of him. Some people were gathered out of my house. Franklin just glared at all of them once, and they all vanished. My tears were not stopping at all. I didn't want to cry in front of him, but I couldn't help it.

"Where am I gonna stay for now." I was only supposed to think this in my mind but I was so stressed that I said it out loud. I had a habit of speaking my thoughts when worried.

Franklin made me sit in her car and said, "With me. You'll stay with me. I mean you can stay in my flat. I have apartment close to the university. You can stay there. And you can call me anytime. I'll be right there."

One night turned my life upside down and now I'll be staying at Franklin's apartment.
