Hello Guys I'm Jeffery Grissom & I'm the creator of Pen Protectors I'm sure you already know that but it never hurts to reiterate that statement; I want to talk about the pros & cons of the King Maxwell arc as well as what I have planned for Pen Protectors in the future. First off I want thank everyone who read thePen Protectors Webnovel edition season one, I didn't get off to a good start this year but I shook back & completed the first season; there were some days I didn't feel the best but the most important thing is I got it done.

I don't write for myself I write for you I don't want to write when I'm in my 60s 70s 80s or even 90s, a lot of writer write to stay sane & they make it apart of their character; I don't want what I write to be apart of me nor do I want to take any pride in it, I feel like when you do that you make it seem like your better the any writer that's out; rather that writer is a millionaire are a freelancer; I'm just a guy I'm no special & no matter how big Pen Protectors gets I'll always express humility & not make my work become apart of me.

That being said I want to talk about King Maxwell for a moment; I was inspired to write the story from a music artist named UMI you can look her up she is very talented; I listen to a lot of her songs & it's mainly about heartbreak & loving people; when I listen to her songs the story popped in my head; I had no idea where I was going with it; it was mainly a freestyle; I knew Maxwell & the foster kids were going to die towards the end of the arc my focus was on how Kanye Lupe & Curena would react; I think I did a decent job with expressing Curenas emotions & how she felt towards Maxwell; Lupe had a good reaction as well; but I enjoyed writing this arc so let's get into the Pros & Cons of the arc & the mistakes I made

CONS:

Short chapters = I Know I know a lot of the chapters are pretty short I get it the fact of the matter is great writers write & I don't write enough to tell the full story I have to get better at that if I want to excel

Build up of Yami= The antagonist is just as important as the protagonist I should always have them in a chapter I didn't do that I feel as tho I could have done better at building up Yami & her character it just wasn't good enough

3 . Not putting Kanye Lupe in enough danger = I had a plan to kill Lupe on the bus before it exploded & have him walk out just in time that worked; as well as Yamonda almost crushing him I just didn't put my guy in enough danger I want you to think I'm really about to kill him off I did a poor job of executing that it was lack luster

PROS:

Battles = I think everyone had their time in the spot light even the Killgore Family; although I do believe the battles can be more intense; the best fight in my opinion was & performance in my opinion was from Poppieyae vs Yamonda ; I think they put on a show

Story build up & Pacing= It wasn't my intent to have this arc be 27 chapters it was honestly supposed to be 25 I just added 2 more but I can tell my story telling skills are improving I have to keep it up

Excellent Job of writing Suspense = i consider the great Alfred Hitchcock a story telling Genius and I've learned so much from his work lol I kinda see him as my head coach; I think I did a outstanding job of implementing the show not tell method

Overall grade I'm gonna give myself a B- I did some good things but I definitely need to be better; lol I see this being my first year on Webnovel as my rookie year & I wouldn't give myself rookie of the year I would say I'm like a rookie that has potential but also has a long way to go my overall goal for this book is to get over 1M reads I have never done that on any platform so if that happened one day it would be like winning a world championship but thats big term goals i want to focus & enjoy the small to mid term goals so if I get past 50K reads this year I think I'm headed in the right Direction & I could that is a winning season at the time I write this report I think I'm at just over 33k so we can get there before the year is up God willing

I'm going to write a short story & publish it probably on Christmas Eve so be on the look out for that & I'm gonna work on the main Pen Protector series as well so you may not get anymore Pen Protector content until December; when January hits I will start a new arc at least those are my plans anything can change from now until then but that's what I had planned at least I'm gonna have kinda a off season I promise to come back stronger & better then ever until then I must bid you a due until next time I hope you enjoyed Pen Protectors Webnovel edition season 1 God bless you all who read
