Immortal Child

The rain fell on the shirt, soaking into it. The boy who was wearing the shirt had just been brutally murdered. But this was no ordinary boy, he would rise again.

This boy's name was Sebastian Rei. His mother was powerless, but his father the immortal soldier, The Jester of War. A man who was thought to be able to survive anything he encountered.

This boy inherited his father's powers and then some of his own. Anytime Sebastian would be harmed physically, he would recover even stronger than last time. Dying did the same for him, hours after death he would get back up even stronger than before.

This was the second time that Sebastian has died. The first time he died, he drowned in a pool. This time around, Sebastian was beaten to death after trying to pass by a group of thugs. The perk of dying for Sebastian was that his body would return to absolute pristine condition.

It was about two hours after Sebastian died. He laid lifeless on the cold wet concrete of the alley. The bruises began to quickly heal and his skin turned lively once more. He slowly opened his eyes.

He curled up into a ball and began to cry. Sebastian was not a violent person by any means, so when it came to a fight or defending himself he was pretty much a baby. They had taken his wallet, and his favorite jacket.

His blue eyes shined so pretty when he cried. They went from a darker blue to a sky blue almost. He sat back against the wall and looked at the concrete. Sebastian's phone rang for the thirtieth time tonight.

He pulled the phone from his pocket and looked at the busted up screen. It was his younger sister, August. He answered the phone and tried to cry a little quieter. "Hello?" Sebastian answered.

"Sebastian?! Where have you been?! Mom and I have been flipping the hell out." August questions. "I was dead, Aug. A bunch of thugs kicked my face in over my wallet and jacket." Sebastian sobbed.

Leaned against the wall to try and stand. The thing about dying with Sebastian, it made him feel malnourished when he woke from death's cold embrace. He felt weak in the legs and like his stomach was going to eat the rest of his organs.

"Where are you at, son? Me and your sister are on the way to get you." his mom chimed. August must have put him on speaker phone for his mom to hear. "I'm across the street from Joe's shop." Sebastian answered with a melancholic tone.

Sebastian stumbled as he got to his feet, falling onto his face. "Sebastian, don't move! I said that we're on the way to get you," his mom spoke. Sebastian rolled over and looked up into the sky.

He had dyed red hair, 19 years old, and was actually not horrible looking. His pale skin was beginning to get some color to it again. It went from ghost white to a light pale kid.

The rain hit his face gently and rolled off the sides of his freshly remade skin. His hair was soaked and he wore nothing more than his shoes, a long sleeve white and blue baseball t-shirt, and faded indigo skinny jeans.

That's when Sebastian noticed that they also stole his watch. The watch was worth a couple hundred dollars at most.

An hour later, Sebastian was curled up in bed, looking at the door with his eyes filled with tears. "Why do I have to be gifted? Why couldn't dad keep his powers to himself?" Sebastian sobbed.

His best friend Ken, sat at the end of his bed with her eyes looking at Sebastian with gloom. "You act as if you're the only gifted person in the room." Ken speaks.

Her eyes were completely green, there was no white or black to either one. She was 5'3, the same height as Sebastian, had dark brown dreads and tattoos sleeving her arms down to her fingers and she was Hawaiian.

"Sorry. I just don't like being gifted. Especially when I'm completely soft and my power is to never stay dead," Sebastian apologizes.

"As somebody who comes from a long line of gifted lineage. I think your powers are badass." Ken replied. Ken's power was over the ocean.

She could control most areas of the salt water reigns, but had no sway whatsoever on the freshwater areas. Her power was derived from her mother and father's powers. They both could breathe underwater and control certain parts of the sea.
