Confession of Love

The two then reached the dorm and went inside their room. They sat at the bed and faced each other.

"Xiao Yan, what do you mean by-"

Before Mu Yue finishes talking, Xiao Yan places her right index finger at Mu Yue's lips. She then said, "Now Mu Yue, let me be the one to talk first."

She slowly removes her finger and asked, "Look at my eyes, what do you see?"

Mu Yue looks at Xiao Yan's golden-colored phoenix eyes. She also saw the fair-skinned face of Xiao Yan and with her pink hair, Mu Yue can only say, "Beautiful"

Normally, Xiao Yan would have been happy to hear this from Mu Yue. However, she was currently dumbfounded by Mu Yue's answer.

'I know I'm beautiful but this is not what I want to hear from her right now!'

"Can't you look at my eyes carefully? Like what do you see in my eyes?" Xiao Yan repeated. She also widened her eyes to let Mu Yue get a better look.

Mu Yue was confused. "Um... golden iris?"

Xiao Yan facepalmed. Her pick-up line cannot be understood by Mu Yue so she had to directly tell her.

"Doesn't my eyes reflect your face, Mu Yue?"

Mu Yue then tilted her head, "Isn't it normal since I'm in front of you?"

Xiao Yan was speechless and was inwardly screaming, 'Ahhhhhh! She is not wrong but I don't want this kind of answer!'

"Is there something wrong Xiao Yan?" Mu Yue asked as she was concerned by Xiao Yan's weird expression.

"There's nothing wrong." Xiao Yan then calmed down before asking, "What are your thoughts when I kissed you on the lips, Mu Yue?"

"I don't know... I was just shocked and also felt warm." Mu Yue replied.

Xiao Yan was happy to hear this. 'At least there is something.'

"Can you guess why I kissed you?"

Mu Yue thought for a bit and replied, "You kissed me as a reward?"

Xiao Yan was now regretting that she explained the kiss she gave last time as a reward. She didn't know that Mu Yue was this dense.

Since her advances didn��t work, she just decided to do it in a straightforward manner.

She pinned down Mu Yue on the bed. Their faces close to each other.

"Do you know what lovers do when they wanted to show their love to each other?"

Then she kissed Mu Yue, but this time it was longer, lasting until Mu Yue's faced reddens. Mu Yue was now starting to realize what Xiao Yan wanted to convey.

"T-they kiss each other." Mu Yue muttered.

"Now you should have realized what I meant by my actions today right? I wanted us two to be lovers, Dao companions as the other cultivators say it."

"Why? Do you not love me back? Is it just me that feels like this towards you?" asked Xiao Yan. She just blurted it out when she heard what Mu Yue said.

Mu Yue was startled by this. Xiao Yan saw her reaction and apologizes, "Sorry, I lost control of myself."

"It's fine, it's just this is too sudden, Xiao Yan. We are just kids and this kind of talk is for adults. I'm fine being together with you. If you want us to be lovers, maybe give me some time to think about it?" Mu Yue suggested.

"Then how much time do you need, Mu Yue? I'm just telling you that I won't love anyone else like this. I will wait for your answer."

Mu Yue would be lying if she did not feel moved by this. "Then I'm fine with being lovers with you. But can you wait for me to be of equal status to you or at least close to yours before being Dao companions? I want others to see that your judgment is not bad. Xiao Yan smiled. She then hugs Mu Yue and said, "Thank you for your agreement, Mu Yue. Also for not getting weirded out when I confessed to you."
