Michael's POV

I quickly rushed her to the hospital at the pack house, she was received at the reception, and convey to the emergency ward, I followed the nurses, I watched them lay her bed. When the doctor came in he asked me, to leave the leave the room so they can do their job, I said to I won't leave her sight for any reason. I felt a touch on my shoulder, it was my beta, Gabriel, I asked, how do you find me here, he said the whole news is all over the pack.

He asked in curiosity, "is that the Luna". He looks at her with some sympathy. My aura was intense, making the doctor feel uncomfortable, I asked him, what happened, he said she was tortured and pass out after much unbearable pains.

Gabriel said I think we should, you can withstand seeing her in pains, let the doctors do their job, she will be fine, he tapped me on the shoulder twice. A nurse shipped in, "he's right my king"

I told the doctor to let me see the scars on her body, he turns her on her belly and tear her shirt. Gabriel exclaimed, "what!". I clutch my fits and repress a growl. Her back is red and bloody. They have been hitting her. Some wounds were still fresh and deep, that have been unable to heal by themselves. While others were still fresh, my wolf howls in anguish, I felt so disheartening.

 The begin to clean up her wounds, he said some wounds are old and infected, even in her deepest sleep she could react to the pain, he holds her hands to passionately.

They will all pay for all the pains they have caused you, I promise you my love. I let go of her hands, as I walk out of room, my Orion was calling for my attention, I let him know that I want to be alone for a while. They will all pay for their grievous crimes, they must pass through all the pains she has ever felt.

I shift into my fierce Lycan as I approach the woods. I made a loud howl, we take off into with a fast speed. As I begin to run in the forest for hours, thought of my mate, her pains, scars, abuse keeps flashing in my memory.

What if she died before I get to rescue her, what if I wasn't at the ceremony, I won't forgive myself, I murmured to myself.

With much run my anger has refused to subside, I left back to the pack, I ordered for whisky, I drank the first three shot once, I look every in the bar in disgust. After the fifth shot, I feel drowsy.

I managed to walk myself to my room, staggering, I quickly linked my mind to my beta, to please keep an eye on my mate, as I prepare to sleep. I try to find some sleep but thought of my mate, keeps flashing in my mind, what kind of offence must she has committed to be such, dangerous dungeon, she looks innocent and fragile, she can't possible hurt an ant.

I'm curious to know why she was there, I keep disturb with her thought all over my mind, I remember I couldn't sense her wolf when I carried her in the cell, what must have gone wrong.

Vincent's POV

I have been feeling uncomfortable since the ceremony begin, my office has been hurt despise the air conditioners are on, my sea has been a throne of thorn, my wolf has been making it worse for me. This is happening all because of ruth rejection, why will she reject me, I was excepting her to take a while, come beg me to accept back.

I was so foolish, I let fear and people decide my happiness, I don't care about what people think anymore, I want to be with her, she is the one my heart longs for after some minute I felt calmed and the painful sensation disappear.

I try linking my mind the guards at the dungeon, to release Ruth but now of them seems to be available, I couldn't feel their wolves, what could be happening to my guards, not even the head of guard, I must to see for myself.

The guards at the entrance of the dungeon didn't noticed my presence, they were engaged in a deep conversation. I growled, to make them aware of my presence, they all staggered in fear, saluting and leading the way to the dungeon.

When I get to the cell I noticed the bars were ripped from their hinges. I saw some lifeless bodies on the floor, looking like a beast invaded the and ripped my men apart.

"What happened."

"The Lycan king was here, he- he took the girl,"

I can't believe this- you fool, I grabbed one of the guards close to me and growled at his face.

"You bastard speak, where did he take her to"

"Will you speak now, or tear you guys apart"

I'm getting impatient right now.

They begin to shiver, one of them stammered, um, sir…" he was stuttering, just speak you fool.

I threatening to kill him if he doesn't speak up, this time I threw him against the wall, and he grunted in pains.

He speak in pain and fear, one of the guard assaulted her, and when king Lycan noticed, he killed him and took her away.

I rarely get angry but now I could I was in so much pain of rejection and regret. I clenched my teeth and growl.

"Where is she." I move a bit closer to him and he speak trembling in fear. "I… I don't know, sir."

I left the cells after mind-linking with some guards. I was informed she has been taken to the pack hospital. I quickly rushed to the hospital, i felt a tear dropped down my eyes when I saw her lying lifeless on the bed, she looks pale, underweight. Her face was bruised and there are some scars on her left arm.

I caressed her tender cheek and felt faint tingles under my fingers. I kissed her on forehead for the first time, I felt different about. She looks so innocent. I blamed myself for letting her go through all the pain, I feel so guilty now.

I felt a sudden touch on my shoulder from behind, I turned around to know who the intruder was, luckily it was Doctor Dorcas, my mums favourite doctor.

She looks at me with surprise and snickered, when I asked her, what happened to Ruth.

She is luckily that today is a good day and not in the mood to kill anyone. I almost growled at her insolence but I took a deep breath and let it slide.

I hope Ruth finally wakes up she forgive me and accept me as a mate and Alpha, I said within me.
