"He wasn't embarrassed when he smiled at me because he knew the two of us knew each other and he was with another woman, which is why he had the courage to tell the world that he had someone new since the two of you broke up," Kiley said.
"He's the only one who makes the decision about their breakup. But even if Dionne didn't want to, she didn't do anything, "Arya explained.
Kiley's mouth dropped open in response to what Arya had said.
"What an ungrateful bastard he is, and there's more. He left Dionne pregnant for two months."
"What? If that's the case, why did you let him go? " He asked, and I bowed my head, realizing something.
Kiley took a deep breath, which I noticed.
"It was better that he decided to split you up early, because if he hadn't, he might have fooled you behind." Kiley
He's logical. It's difficult to accept when he deceives me with another woman while we're still together.
"It's okay, Dionne, everything happened for a reason. Noah leaves your life, and your child is the replacement. You should go to the hospital frequently so that the doctor can check you out, I recommend that you see a great doctor who I know so that you can check on your pregnancy," he said.
In response, I shook my head. Arya was extremely fortunate to have this man in her life. He was very nice, and he was also an excellent surgeon.
Kiley got up and said.
"All right, sweetheart, prepare food for Dionne so she can eat well; I think she hasn't eaten a heavy meal in a month since she was thin," Kiley said to Arya. As he walks out of the living room.
"Dionne, feel at home, you can stay here forever," he said, smiling. I returned his smile. After Kiley left, the two of us remained in the living room.
"What do you want to eat now, Dionne?" Arya asked.
"It's as if I'm not in the mood to eat rice, Arya," I explained."
"You should eat, Dionne, so that you gain energy. Just let all your hatred and worries go. Accept the fact that Noah leaves you with another woman, and don't ask yourself what that woman has that Noah chose her over you." I exhaled deeply and smiled slightly.
Later, Arya and I walk into the kitchen together.
I'll sit on the stainless tool and rest my right hand on the table. I noticed Arya preparing ingredients for her cooking sessions.
"Thank you, Arya; I will appreciate your love for me," I said later.
"You're welcome, Dionne. What's the point of being your friend if I can't help you in times like this?" she said. "Of course, I love you a lot, Dionne."
I'm touched by how much this woman adores me.
I'm not sure what she was going to cook because I noticed she was slicing something that looked like vegetables.
"You're lucky to have Kiley in your life; I haven't heard you complain about his wrongdoings." I told her.
She paused slicing for a moment and turned to face me.
"There isn't a perfect relationship, Dionne, so it means we had some misunderstandings and flows, but we'll do our best to fix them right away so they don't affect our relationship and cause us to separate," she explained.
I give her a serious look.
"You're right when you say you can hear me complaining about him because I'll never experience Kiley doing something bad behind my back because I have something he can't find in another woman," she said, smiling.
I shook my head because what she said about Kiley's attitude hit me hard.
Because Noah was the polar opposite of Kiley in terms of demeanor. My love for him has made me deafeningly deaf.
"Dionne, I'm not saying anything to bolster my boyfriend's ego; I'm just telling you what attitude he has." Arya continued, her eyes gleaming,
"And I'm not saying anything to compare their mindsets, but I just wanted to let you know that your Noah didn't have my Kiley's attitude." Arya clarified.
I took a deep breath in and out.
"Don't lose hope, since you have many more years ahead of you, you'll be able to find your own Kiley soon." she added, smiling,
Arya had a positive outlook on life. I've never seen her sob in the face of adversity. We had only known each other for a year, yet I recall her warm grin always. It was like she hadn't undergone hardships in life. We used to work in a company before, before I resigned.
Arya began cooking in a matter of minutes, and I discovered that she prepares Tinolang manok. When I smelled the essence of Arya's dish, my saliva split in two.
Then I felt like I'd be able to eat till late in the evening. Maybe my infant was starving as well. A half-hour had passed. Arya's food has been prepared. She starts putting it together on the table.
Then I'll get a spoon and a dish, and I'll get some rice and chicken Tinola soup.
"Be careful, Dionne, the soup was still hot." Arya warned me.
"I nearly forgot you're pregnant, which is why you're acting like a hungry dog," she joked.
"Damn you, Arya, I'm so hungry."
"Seriously? You're hungry and don't want to eat? If you're not pregnant, Dionne, maybe I'll smash your face," Arya said before beginning to eat. Her brow furrowed again.
"You had the bravery to choke on food, but your lover hadn't eaten yet," I said, "so why don't you call him so the three of us can eat together?"
"If he's going to his library, it indicates one thing: he doesn't want to be disturbed by anyone, including me," she explained.
I'm amazed at how understanding Arya is.
"It's difficult to love a doctor, Dionne, because they love their patient more than their woman." she explain.
