03 || Hidden Officer Position

Alliyah's POV

It's been the Second week of July at nandito kami ngayon sa Gym, para sa mga tumatakbo for School's Officers. I don't kung bakit ako kinakabahan... Napansin ito ni Irish at hinawakan ang kamay ko. "Unnie, masyado kang kabado. Relax ka lang, wala namang mangyayari eh." Sabi nito sa akin at ngumiti. I smiled bacm and nodded while saying "okie".

Tinawag si Justine sa harap. And the Principal gave him the other microphone. After it, nagtanong ang Principal that make the Gymnasium sound nothing but a silence.

"Mr. Perez, may napili ka na ba sa magiging hidden officer position nang school?"

Whaaaat? Ano daw? Hidden Officer Position sa school?! What does that mean?

"Yes, I already pick someone. Kaso newbie lang sya, I don't want to put too much pressure on her. Especially, at sya ang Vice-Mayor nang Class namin." And then the silent Gym turned into full of murmuring. Some of our classmates starts to look at me and... "U-unnie... V-vice M-mayor nang Class 9?" Tanong sa akin ni Irish. "At n-newbie nang school..." dugtong ni Bella.

I look to Justin and we made an eye contact, which make my body goosebumps. And then slowly, he is walking towards our class. But...

"May we know who she is?" The Principal asked curiously that made him stop his tracks. And look back to him. And he answers, "Yes, you may... but I don't know about her"

"Her? So babae sya? How did she caught Justine's attention?"

"Baka mayaman?"

"Tange, di ba kayo nakikinig? Classmate nya nga..."

"At Vice-Mayor pa"

"I hope magaling sya"

"Di lang sya magaling. I'm pretty sure... na matalino din sya"

To summarize, those are the words I have been hearing still now. Minute past... and the whispering of people are still can be heard. And here I am... being more nervous than before but Irish still keep her hands on me. I smiled because of that.

Justine continue his walking and... stopped right infront of me. And he kneeled infront of me, asking for my hand. The people gasp on what he is doing. I looked at him confused, but I don't know what's in me. Because I just accept and hold his hands. "This is Ms. Alliyah Cassandra Lee, the Vice-Mayor of Class 9, and one of the candidates I nominate to be in the Hidden Officer Position."

Aifa's POV

Is Justine making a f*cking joke here?! How can he choose her instead of me? Like seriously? I just rolled my eyes in annoyance. And someone slapped my hand so hard. "Ouch Ashley! It hurts!" I whispered to her, whining in pain. Fix yourself Aifabel... there are eyes watching you. Baka mamaya isipin pa nila na--"

"Na-ano? Na I have some hatred on Alliyah? The HELL I CARE?! No one gives a ---" she stopped my cursing by covering my mouth. I rolled my eyes on her. "Just hush Aifabel..."

I just rolled my eyes to her and mumbled "I'm pretty sure na mangyayari ulit yung nangyari kay Charice."

"What did you say? Mangyayari ulit? Charice?" Tanong nito sa akin.

S-she didn't know?...

"L-let's just focus to them" I said as I changed to topic.

Bumalik nalang kami sa kanilang dalawa and I secretly put a smirk... 'This is just going to be fascinating.'

Alliyah's POV

Sa bawat segundong lumilipas mas lalong bumibilis ang tibok nang puso ko sa kaba. At dagdag pa nito ang mga tingin sa akin ni Justine. I flinch when the Principal started speaking again.

"Ms. Lee, mayroon ka bang message for your fellow school mates?" And Justine offered his mic and I thankfully accepted it.

Trembling... I'd answer. "Yes po"

Di ko alam kung anong pumasok sa isip... But, hays... GG may prend.

I took a deep breathe and hold the mic with my shaking hands.

"Good Afternoon students, I am Alliyah Cassandra Lee, the Vice-Mayor of Class 9. But before this... I gladly take the offer of being a candidate for the 'Hidden Officer' Position. And... I just want to say that... I'm not that pro for this kind of things. So please don't expect too much for me. I will try and do my best to serve you all. That's all." And I respectfully bowed to them, and gave the mic back to Justine who is kinda-completely frozen.

As seconds passed after I finished my message, all of them give me a round of a plause. And I smiled to them.
