Loving an idol who loves to make my life hell

“‘The first fan of yours I will meet, I will make them like C-LAND instead!’ Hwa shouted, raising the glass. Haku just laughed and raised the glass too, agreeing to the bet.” Lucy Quail loves the k-pop group GoCHU, and her gig of being an interpreter for their rival group C-LAND wasn’t fun for her at all. By accident, she becomes a target of banter between her idol Haku and Seonghwa, an idol who loves to make her life hell. Since he met Lucy, his nemesis, who obviously was not pleased with even his presence, Hwa was keen on winning his bet and defeating Haku. But what was once just an innocent bet, grows into funny jokes of stealing, kidnapping, and annoying the hell out of Lucy. And then it becomes something more when Seonghwa finds himself liking Lucy’s personality. But fans aren’t as benevolent as his agency. Life is often full of struggles and the life of a celebrity is no exception.

Thanks for coming back

Lucy knew why he was so nice just that evening. And why was he in the bathroom longer than it was usual. Toothpaste wasn't good for her broken mouth, her skin calmed down a bit, it was the feeling of dirty teeth and bad breath that made her brush her teeth despite that.

Well if she could brush her teeth.

As soon as Lucy put the toothbrush with toothpaste on her teeth, something seemed off. But she kept going. It was getting harder and harder to move. And her gums were getting weirdly stuck to the inside of her mouth.

Lucy pulled out her toothbrush and saw the 'toothpaste' sticking the bristles together with clumps of paste.

'That idiot!' she thought for herself and quickly rinsed her mouth with warm water, trying to dilute the teeth glue that was in her mouth. He knew it was tooth glue, because it didn't taste weird. Her teeth were not sticking, only her gums were. And lastly. That was the most surprising for her.

She believed that Seonghwa wasn't a total idiot that would poison her. Maybe he wasn't.

But Lucy now got determined to have her own revenge. So as soon as the glue was out of her mouth, she went to buy a new toothbrush and then sat down to her laptop. Searching for inspiration for her own revenge. And there was a lot of it on the internet.

Few days later when her skin had only a few red marks left she went back to work. It wasn't that she was confident in herself, but she couldn't let James fling his own work just because of her. And he was the only one that she knew well enough to let him inside this building on her responsibility.

He was inside when she met Jang Hanbyeol. They have been introduced before, as she was the makeup artist of the group.

"Oh, how come you are here?" she asked, honestly quite surprised.

"I'm the group teacher," Lucy answered truthfully and smiled at the woman. Who nodded and then laughed.

"That makes sense now, Hwa was in a really good mood and even let me put a bit of glitter on his lower lashes." Lucy was confused as to why he wanted makeup when she was coming to teach them. But she didn't ask. And she didn't have to because Miss Jang probably saw the confusion on her face.

"We were talking about the style of the next comeback. It gets consulted with the company and members themselves." Lucy now knew what was going on and nodded to thank for explaining.

When Lucy entered the room she was surprised to find a pack of Oreos and coffee where her place was. She suspiciously raised the pack but it was sealed and the coffee didn't smell weird. Maybe it was safe to eat.

The four of them without Hwa had entered the room and greeted her. They were actually worried about what had happened and when she embarrassedly said her skin condition they had quickly pulled up to the dermatologist they go to whenever something happens to their skin. And Lucy once more appreciated how down-to-earth they were. All of them except I-am-the-best king of the world, that was just coming through the door.

"What's up with the gifts?" she asked. And surprisingly Sunjun bushed.

"I thought that we should give you something nice when you are coming back," he said and took out his books. It was as if he was sixteen not over twenty.

"Thank you. I'll drink it after we are done…" Lucy wanted to start the lesson quickly so she won't be told they are late with lessons because of her break.

"I'm actually glad you are back… James had a weird accent," Kangmin complained and Lili had to agree.

"Well he is American, so his accent is strong from there. And he has lived in Korea for five years already so that influences his pronunciation a lot. I've actually heard him ask many time how to say said word in English because he only knew it in Korean." Lucy laughed at the impression that she still had fresh in her mind and the confused face of the Korean father who had no idea what was going on.

"Let's start with your homework that I know you got," Lucy continued and heard unanimous groaning. Somehow James loved poetry and he let them translate one verse each.

Much later, even after the lesson was over, Lucy was carrying the drink, going home. It was a simple caramel latte as she liked it and the Oreo cookies in her purse.

When Lucy crashed back home, on the couch/bed, still with the drink in her hand one even one sip taken she knew it was because she didn't trust it. Not when she saw Hwa's smug face when she thanked Sunjun for it.

Lucy knew there wasn't much for her to eat in the house so she called in delivery cursing her stupid self she forgot to take something on her way home. So in the meanwhile when she waited and was hungry she doubtfully watched the cookies and coffee on the table.

It was closed. It should be good…

Lucy carefully opened it, but nothing jumped on her. Only the scent of Oreo, that was strong, stronger than she remembered. Lucy took one out and bit into it. The instant she tasted it, Lucy spit all of it out. She even gagged at the taste. Trying to get the awful taste out of her mouth she grabbed the coffee and took a sip, totally forgetting from whom it was. And the taste got even worse.

A toothpaste in cookies and salt in coffee? That guy should be destroyed. What demon could do something like that? Lucy quickly ran to at least drink some water and not gag at the taste that combined in her mouth.

She would destroy him. Personally she will look for every possible way to make him regret he did it to her.
