Loving an idol who loves to make my life hell

“‘The first fan of yours I will meet, I will make them like C-LAND instead!’ Hwa shouted, raising the glass. Haku just laughed and raised the glass too, agreeing to the bet.” Lucy Quail loves the k-pop group GoCHU, and her gig of being an interpreter for their rival group C-LAND wasn’t fun for her at all. By accident, she becomes a target of banter between her idol Haku and Seonghwa, an idol who loves to make her life hell. Since he met Lucy, his nemesis, who obviously was not pleased with even his presence, Hwa was keen on winning his bet and defeating Haku. But what was once just an innocent bet, grows into funny jokes of stealing, kidnapping, and annoying the hell out of Lucy. And then it becomes something more when Seonghwa finds himself liking Lucy’s personality. But fans aren’t as benevolent as his agency. Life is often full of struggles and the life of a celebrity is no exception.

It's starting

"Was today's lesson better?" Lucy asked the guys and Hyunjun with Kangmin and they nodded.

"It's easier to remember with song lyrics. I didn't know it could be done this way," Hyunjun said and Lucy was relieved. It was really hard for him to remember grammar and even more vocabulary. So she was quite thrilled to find a way to make it easier for him.

"Weren't Seonghwa and Jaemin supposed to be here today too?" She marked down who she taught and which language, so everyone would have the same progress.

"They have been called in by the CEO." Hyunjun shrugged and closed the notebook he had in front of him. She didn't ask further and nodded.

Lucy's found vibrated and on her screen, a new update from Twitter popped up. It was from Gochu's Haku. Which was the only site she had her notification on for. He retweeted something from… Lucy stared at the name and actually wished it was just her imagination.

"You have individual accounts on Twitter?" she asked, leaving idols. They halted their steps and hurried to look at what she meant by that.

An account with Seonghwa's name had posted a picture and Haku, who had an individual Twitter account had retweeted it. The picture was Seonghwa posing with the photocard he had stolen from her.

"Something precious?" Kangmin read out the caption and laughed, but Lucy wanted to cry. He turned to them, ignoring what she just witnessed.

"Does Hwa prank you too? Will you help me pay him back?" Hyunjun shook his head but Kangmin nodded.

"He does?" Hyunjun looked at Kangmin confusedly, who nodded. They looked a bit reluctant about helping her though.

"Remember when all of your shoelaces were tied together, and your shirts had their sleeves sewed together a few months ago? That was him. He spent all his free time on it and loved every minute of it." Hyunjun turned to Lucy and nodded, now looking furious.

"We will help, what do you need?" He agreed hurriedly and Kangmin chuckled but nodded.

"You still live in a dorm? Or is he coming back to that house I visited every day?" Hyunjun narrowed his eyes, obviously thinking.

"It depends if he is with us, he will come back to dorms and sleep on the couch, but most of us live somewhere else now. He lives there. We can force him to go there…" Lucy was so happy that it couldn't be described in any language she knew.

"Do you remember the entire passcode to the door?" she asked hopefully. Hyunjun shook his head, but Kangmin nodded. But then he winced.

"I'm not sure I can give it to you…" Lucy was actually touched by the friendship, but she took out a paper from her column of learning materials.

"Will it be better if I write an agreement of not disclosing it with high penalties?" Kangmin was surprised by her suggestion but nodded. It was better than nothing and he really wanted to take revenge. But he always had no idea what to do… Maybe Lucy would have something.

"That idiot!!" Lucy cried out while still looking at her phone. With desperation in her eyes, she looked up at Hyunjun.

"You don't know about the hate between your fandoms or what? They are fighting again and it's quite serious this time," she said as her post with the same poca was getting mentions and quoted retweets. She turned off the notifications and decided it was better to ignore them.

"We… know about it. But what can we do? Do you think someone would listen? And why should we call out our fans? They pay us." Hyunjun's harsh reality made Lucy stop for a while. Why did she think they cared about their fans? They were wallets. No friends. And the cynical reality made her chuckle.

"Thanks for bringing me back to Earth. Will the agreement be better? I know when things are on paper it's better for you in a case of a court hearing." Not that Lucy would tell it to anyone to end up in court. They spend the next five minutes wording the contract and after that, Lucy acquired two pin codes and two addresses in the secret group chat on Kakao that Kangmin made.

"Should we make some pranks too?" Kangmin asked, suddenly getting excited that finally now it was time for payback.

"Maybe, I don't know. I just know I will be careful not to hurt him, so mind that too, please." Lucy actually surprised herself with that statement. Maybe it was because he was an idol and he had a face to show. Or maybe she didn't want Kangmin to get into problems. Yes, that was probably it… There was no way she would care about the pocas stealing person.

Deep inside, she was actually glad to get revenge and at the same time brighten her dull life that was getting pretty monotonous in Korea.

"What will you do?" Hyunjun asked, unsure, but Lucy smirked with a wolfish smile before answering. It only made him shiver, thinking he messed up.

"I will just retaliate. But far worse than he did to me. Do you know any interior design places nearby?" she asked while at it. They both shook their heads and helped Lucy to search for one on the internet, still curious about what her plan was.

"Nothing serious. I will just change all his fruits into plastic ones. Maybe even rice for puffed rice." She shrugged as if it was nothing but for Hyunjun which was extremely vile, as Hwa's only relaxing time was when he was in the kitchen. Did she secretly know it, or was it a fluke?

"You have to go now, or your choreographer will have my ass again," Lucy said, looking at the watch. It was a half-joke because surprisingly all the people around C-land were pretty chill.

Last time, the makeup artist even helped her with some tips about makeup and how to cover those black circles she had.

"I will message you later when I know for sure what I will do." Hyunjun with Kangmin left and Lucy found the courage to take a look at her mentions before she left the building with her backpack on her back, ready to find the nearest bus stop.

It was crazy. With the rarity of the photocard, and even though she covered it before when posting it. The cover and the stickers around were visible. And Lucy hated Hwa for doing this.

Even though she posted that she still had it and it wasn't hers, SEAs were on her ass sending her threatening messages to get away from their idol. As if she wanted to be this close. To make her feel normal again, Lucy disabled her messages and locked her account just to have some sort of rest.

Crazy fans should be called out for this. And she blocked all of them. Well, after she screenshotted everything and saved all those threats in the folder she had for this. Better be safe than sorry.

It's really starting :D Seonghwa is a particular kind of... idiot I may say? But that kind of cure idiot that will grow on you :D
