The proposal

“What are you thinking?” Jack asked Clara in a whisper, he didn’t want to disturb the love birds ask Alex was busy hugging and kissing his Sandra.

Clara got up and went outside, and Jack followed.

“Don’t be like this! You should be happy that he’s alive.”

“Alive? Did you call that been alive?” Clara asked almost in tears.

“Which do you prefer… at least we can see and talk with him, let’s just be thankful.” He tried to console her.

Sandra was short of words, she can’t stare at Alex for long, is like she was talking to a different person.

“I know how you feel,” he said, his hands never leaving her tummy, he has been rubbing it since he got here.

Sometimes he will place his ear on her belly as if to listen to his baby.

“Hey little guy, can you hear me?” he will call out to the baby.

“He will when he comes out, and what makes you think is a he?” Sandra asked.

“Because I know”

“Yeah” Sandra muttered, he should know since he’s not just a normal human being.

Alex finds out he could hear her thoughts without trying. He sat upright and looked at her, cupping her face with his hands he asked.

“Are you still afraid of me?, I won’t hurt you”.

“Huh!, you can hear my thoughts?”

“Yes” is time to tell her who he is because he is seriously considering taking the position of the head of the clan, that is the only way to stop Lincoln, and make his father proud.

“Sandra” he called at her.

“Yes”

“I’m not a monster, what you saw, that day does not make me a monster” he went ahead to tell her everything that Vampire has told him, and he also told her about taking the position of head of the clan.

“Will you be my wife, and be the mother of my children?” he proposed to her. He can only rule the people well if Sandra would be by his side.

Sandra started crying and accepts his proposal. She has no choice, he is the love of her life, and she can’t say no to him now because of his disfigured face.

Clara and Jack came in clapping.

“What! Were you guys listing to our conversation?” Alex asks Clara and Jack.

“Nope, we just happen to hear only the proposal part” hahaha they all laugh except Sandra who was shy to even raise her head.

“Thank you, Sandra, for accepting my brother's proposal, I was really worried for him."

“Is fine, I know my Alex, and I know that is not his face, I can still see his handsome face, not this one.” Clara was relieved and very thankful that his brother has Sandra as a lover.

Alex and Jack left the ladies and went out, they have a lot of catching up to do.

Jack told Alex about their plan and how Pat gave them guns.
