"Wow I can't believe she's doing this to you!!! this is insane!!" said raven. " I know right, who the hell does she think she is, it's not like I'm a slave of hers so she gets to rule over me, like that is Soo not cool". "don't worry hun, as long as I'm alive, no one can ever touch you, if anyone even dares imma smack them where it hurts so they never can again". I smiled at her sweet comment.

Raven and I have been best friends since I was in middle school. We both come from rich families and both of us aren't happy with our lives. I guess that's why we connect with each other better than anyone else. Our story was funny to start off with. My dad had promised to pick me up from school so that we would hang out with each other, kinda like a daddy-daughter day, but to my

disappointment he didn't come so I waited outside the school gates for him, it got pretty late and some bulky men were passing by and I got scared because they were looking so ferocious so I hid behind the school wall, it was pretty huge given my short height, it was getting darker the school gates were locked and to my luck I got locked in the inside, the dim lights and dark view was scary already, I suddenly remembered the ghost story Teresa had told me once, I Was scared as hell and I began ranting "there's no such things as ghosts, if a ghost comes I would smack the living shi ... tAhhhhh I screamed as I saw a figure emerge from the bushes near the gate. I was about to yell for help but the figure covered my mouth "shut the hell up or we'll both get caught" I turned around to see it was one of my classmates who was famous for being a deliquent and because of her tomboyish look no one was freinds with her. I was surprised at what she was doing at this hour , "what are you doing here this late?" I inquired, "pft says the one who is also out so late at THIS hour" she shot back, she does have a point, we both sat down leaning on the wall when she suddenly asked "hey! got anything to eat?", "oh, I have some chocolate if you want" I handed her the chocolate which we split on half, I noticed some cuts on ravens face which made her look cool. I reached in my backpack and got a bandaid and handed her over. It was getting late and I was getting cold, raven shared her hoodie with me since it was an XL size boys hoodie, it was warm and comfortable. "don't fall for me now" she said jokingly. we both laughed at her joke, she was sweet unlike the rumor's and her bad girl like appearance. "You know, I always thought you were princess high and mighty since you sit alone and have all the rich cars picking you up, I assumed you were a spoiled rich brat, bit I guess rumors are nothing but a load of bull" raven said which unexpectedly took me off guard "do I look like that though?" I was curious as to what persona people had created about me. She just shrugs her shoulders "guess that's why no one ever talked to me or wanted to be friends. anyways I can say the same about you too, you are rather sweet and awesome than you look" I stated and to my surprise she was actually blushing at my comment "don't tell me, no one has ever complimented you??" , "it's not like I have friends who hang out with me and besides who even wants to hang out with those loud girls squeeling at every damn thing, it's annoying ", "I know right, tell me about it" I said. "wanna be friends?" I offered a handshake, she looked at my extended hand for a second and said " think you can handle my temper?" she said, I just smiled "think you can handle mine?" we both laughed. That day I got to know that ravens dad remarried after her mother died and how she would be mistreated in her home so she changed herself and became stronger to protect her baby brother as well, I shared my story to her and she was very angry at my grandma and also proposed to run away together we laughed and talked.I also got to k ow she was scared of ghosts, we were spooking each other with ghost stories when the school guard literally took us off guard and suddenly opened the flashlight to his face "WHAT ARE YOU GIRLS DOING HERE??" he yelled in a groggy voice which scared rye living soul out of our bodies. We got up and ran to the School gate again and begin banging it, to our suprize our fathers were here to pick us up and they were the ones who told the guard to bring us out, we both went home crying, and from that day onwards we became an inseparable duo.

Raven had ways been there with me in times of need, when I would cry about my grandma starving me or mistreating me,or when boys came to flirt with me,or when girls came to pick fights accusing me of seducing their boyfriend's. She would even go as far as to grabbing their hairs and punching them in their faces. Luckily we went to the same highschool, and college. she is in a basketball team so I sometime go to watch her play.

We both were walking towards the campus gate when a black car suddenly parked besides us. By the looks of it we could tell that it belonged to someone rich. We were looking at it since it parked right where we were standing. Suddenly the car door opened and we saw a man step out of the car. Not gonna lie he looked handsome, blonde wavy hair, blue ocean eyes, pink lips, a large build and he wore a black suit. Even though he looked handsome and the girls were gawking at him, I am not gonna lie he was not my type at all because he looked like a goody two-shoe type of guy whereas I like bad and hot villain type guys, so a no from me.

Raven was angry as to why he was looking at us, we were about to leave when the guy suddenly called out "Miss Ashley??", I turned around suspiciously as to how he knew my name and said "yes!?"." I could tell it was you, as among all the girls here your beauty still stands out" he said. Raven was about to throw hands when I stopped her not in the mood to start a fight. "Is he that campus stalker of yours?" raven whispered to my ear, "I don't think so, looks pretty neat for a stalker". I cautiously asked him "I'm sorry, but who are you? and how do you know my name?". "umm it would be better for us to talk privately" he stated uncomfortable with all the stares we were recieving. "There is no way she's going with you alone mister" raven shot. "I'm sorry but I don't k ow you so there is no way I'm going with somebody I don't know, come on ray ray let's go" we both turned around and we're about to leave when he suddenly yells

"I'M YOUR FIANCE".
