Smile As Bright As The Moon
For a moment Ace looked over at Xenon and saw that he was looking at the ground, "What are you looking at."
Surprised, Xenon looked up and saw Ace was staring at him, his gaze was gentle. Slowly, Ace lifted his arm up and placed it one Xenon heads, "You must've been scared, but it's okay now."
For a second Xenon's heart skipped a beat. (Yes he's a vampire but they can still have a heart haha).
He stumbled on his words, of course he was scared, Xenon had never encountered a Demon before.
"I-I-" Xenon couldn't form a sentence something was stopping him but he wasn't sure what it was.
"Why don't we get out of here first." Ace said calmly.
'What was this? Why has Ace changed so much.' Thought Xenon.
"Uh." Xenon agreed.
Both looking up the hole they fell through was still there, Ace quickly grabbed Xenon's waist again and flew up. After they landed they walked towards the cave, it looked like Lilith was already awake.
"Are you okay?" Xenon had asked Lilith.
"Yeah, I'm fine just a little cold." She answered.
"That's good then." Xenon said in a sweet voice.
"Wahh my hubby is finally falling in love with me." Lilith said, she then looked behind Xenon and Ace was standing there.
She looked at Ace and he was giving her a death stare, I guess nothing much has changed.
After having a staring contest with Lilith, Ace left the cave. Everyone turned around and watched him leave.
"What's his problem?" Asked Lilith.
"It's probably nothing, he's also like that." Flora replied.
"I'll go check on him." Xenon said.
After leaving the cave, he found that Ace has disappeared somewhere. Looking around Ace was nowhere to be seen. Xenon then heard a branch break and started walking in that direction.
He saw that Ace was sitting down on a rock holding his arm, running to him Xenon said, "Are you hurt!?"
"It's fine, It's just a small cut." Ace reassured Xenon.
"No matter how big or small the cut is, if it's not treated soon, it could get infected." Xenon scolded Ace.
"Sorry." Ace removed his hand from his arm and it revealed an arm full of blood.
"How is this a small cut!?" Xenon said confused.
"I've had worse." Ace said.
Xenon took a piece of his clothing and ripped it off. He got closer to Ace and placed the cloth around the cut. "Here cover it with this and I will get ointment later."
"Thank you."
"It's not problem, you did protect me earlier." Said Xenon sweetly.
"You shouldn't talk like that to everyone." Ace said madly.
"Talk like what?"
"It doesn't matter." Ace said coldly. Seems like he was back to his normal state.
'Maybe Ace seemed different was because he was hurt', Xenon thought.
"You need some help getting back to the cave?" Xenon asked nicely as he didn't want to anger Ace.
"No, I'm going to stay here."
"Okay, want me to stay here with you?"
"Up to you." Ace said with no emotion. Was something wrong with him?
"Are you sure your okay?" Xenon put his hand against Ace's forehead, "Doesn't seem like you have a fever."
Ace grabbed Xenon's hand and pulled him closer, "Who said you could touch me."
"I thought that." Xenon said nervously.
"You thought what?"
"Hey! But you grabbed my waist without asking me."
"Do you want to be stuck in the Demon's lair, if so I can always put you back."
"Please forgive me your highness, I didn't mean offend you." Xenon said in a mocking tone.
That's the first time in a while that Xenon called Ace 'your highness.' Normally when Xenon called Ace that he regretted it but this time he didn't, maybe it was because they close while being together for a week.
"Good you understand" Ace replied as if he didn't hear Xenon calling him a king.
They both looked at each other and Xenon started laughing, "You should stop being serious all the time."
"Okay." Ace said seriously.
"I said less serious, not more."
"Sorry." Ace tried to smile but it just looked like he was in pain.
"How about not smiling?" Xenon was saying it as nice as possible.
"I give up."
"It's okay one day your smile will be as bright as the moon." Smiled Xenon.
GRR! BANG!
A loud noise came from above.
