Cut Off Her Fingers

The Imperial Constitution started during the first reign. It remained rock solid ordinances throughout the whole empire up until the current moment. This was what the current nobles knew not of.

The Imperial Constitutional first ordinances were placed in a certain library to preserve the knowledge of history. It was no wonder none knew of the certain ordinance. They remained ignorant of the existence of the first imperial ordinances.

"My, I could not believe that the Imperial board knew not of the first imperial ordinances…" Hera chuckled.

She crossed her legs and arms whilst she laid her back on the style of her seat. She eyed each of them, her eyes darted from one eye across the other as it proved a menace to everyone that subsisted during the conference.

"Even if I, Hera of the Imperial throne have given the utmost authority to the lowly prince, Gavryll. I still manipulate the throne as long as this ordinance stands. As long as I am certain that I am well and lively, I am the Imperial throne…"

"This is an absurdity! You show no evidence that the folly of such ordinance prevails! You formed numerous fibs, Hera! We will not fall for your falsehoods!" Odette stood, her fingertips pushing the table whilst she vaulted from her seat.

"Sheraphel…" Hera spoke.

"Don't jeopardize with such threats! I will not be compelled and waver for I believe the validity that you were heaving canards."

Sheraphel strode toward Odette who was yet to defend such things which were not worth her defense. He drew his sword up high, his other hand which held not the sword grabbed Odette's hand and slammed it on a nearby table.

"What do you think you're doing, Sheraphel?! Do you think you'll get away with this?! Are you certain you will do this in front of the Emperor?! Do you know not what he could conceivably do to you and your family?!"

Gavryll spoke not, it was as if he had no right to speak. Or maybe some gazes hindered him too — one thing's for certain, Hera was the impediment.

"Do you suppose that your beloved Emperor could even do something about it, Odette? Where has your brain flown off to? Gavryll has no authority commencing from now as the Empress wanted to deliver…" Amraphel announced.

It was astonishing and everyone was awestricken, everyone knew that they placed their foot down their graves the moment Hera had returned, no, their foot was already on their tombs when they commenced treason.

"Impasse such shameless motive, Odette. Your finger is about to be cut off yet you dare throw a commotion?" Hera's eyes darkened.

"Do as what you're told, Sheraphel…" Amraphel spoke.

"How dare you! You two are communal devils and I will not forgive you!"

Hera sighed heavily, it was for no relief whatsoever. She rubbed her head and stood from her seat, she strode toward Odette as she whispered with a portentous voice that grimaced toward her ears.

"The devil doesn't bargain, Odette and the devil need not your leniency…" she stood, her head nodded to Sheraphel.

That instant, Sheraphel proceeded and rose his hand and held it up high. The sharp edges of the sword clashed with Odette's bony fingers and cut off three of those in her middle. Odette could only shriek in pain as soon as her fingers were cut off, Hera looked at her with satisfaction.

Her hand percolated intensely with blood, Hera's eyes gazed at the bleeding whilst she gave sinister yet boisterous laughter throughout the air.

"Where has your respect for me gone?" she sat back in her seat.

Her eyes gave a dominating look, the atmosphere around her was dominant and potent.

"Who would want to be next? I'm certainly sure you greatly adored the lowly commoner, I infer you would want to follow in her footsteps. I give you the autonomy to speak and may your fingers be cut off as well. That you may even suffer tremendously just as this temptress had."

The eyes of each and everyone only discerned the bloody hands of the consort who was mourning greatly in which she complained of them. She was grumbling, tears endlessly falling from her eyes as she pleaded with Gavryll to do something.

"Oh…" Hera smiled. "Why are you reserved, Gavryll? Don't you want to be next?"

Her eyes were wide-eyed, it was as if Hera had gotten crazy over a short period. The sweet and kind Hera was unrecognizable as soon as the psychopathic and merciless Hera surged from within her. It was as if she went through such a transformation, she was prepared before she returned.

"Since you loved her greatly, it was only right that you will empathize with her agony as of the moment. Worry not, the physical pain goes away but the torment of fear I gave you? I doubt that."

Gavryll nervously swallowed, his heart beating faster as he feared Hera who evolved to be a human who succumbed to her hurting. Amraphel who witnessed this was austere and reserved but his eyes landed on Hera with desire and pride.

For the first time did he see Hera defending herself. Maybe the talk he gave her was enough to turn some switch within the Empress.

Hera twirled as she gazed at them, her eyes paused to look at Amraphel as she gleamed. Her hands then deliberately draped around Gavryll, her fingers gently hovering over his vest which was on his chest. Odette was still dismal as she sat down beside Gavryll with her lament.

She bent down, her mouth met his ears. She gently rested her chin on his shoulders, her gaze looked at Amraphel who sat before Gavryll on the other side of the table. Softly yet with jeopardy, her voice mingled with his sense of hearing.

"You love me, do you, Gavryll?"

Gavryll was frightened, he was appalled and horrified at the same time. He was unable to move as he felt Hera's aura start to stiffen him. It was a suffocating feeling he felt, it was as if Hera was anticipating to be pleased with his answer. His thoughts became muddled, where could the former Hera have gone?

Scarcely before he could answer, Hera, started to press on his chest hard, it started to make him run out of breath as he heard Hera's subtle chuckle.

"Fun, is it not, Gavryll?"

Gavryll started to not feel the air roam around him, it was as if the wind was suspended in his area. The people that stood released a sweat, and Hera's action started to instill fear within their hearts. To her, it was justified. They all were the cause of why she suffered greatly.

"Now, wherefore was your answer, Gavryll? You love me, do you not?"

Gavryll was left with no choice, he felt he was getting strangled by her voice as soon as she let it out. It was as if as soon as the devil speak, he was bound to be petrified by her voice. Only he could answer what was untrue, he thought Hera would simply let him go out of her hands that clung to him with great strength.

"Yes, I do…Hera, I love you…"

Odette gritted her teeth, "What falsehood, Gavryll! You told me over and over that, you love her not that it was me whom you love! Never shall you lie to yourself!"

Hera's eyes glared sideways, "Sheraphel…"

"Here am I, Your Majesty…"

Her head turned in his direction, "This lowly commoner had started talking once again, I do believe she did not learn a lesson. Cut off her hand, would you?"

"Certainly, Your Majesty…"

"No! You shall not! How dare you, Sheraphel!"

Sheraphel's eyes lit with fury as Odette's shriek started to agitate him, immediately, his sword slammed with collision to Odette's wrists.

"Fear not, Noble consort, it's just a hand…" he snickered.

Hera guaranteed Odette's hand fell apart from her body and scoffed with a subtle smirk. "Then, Gavryll…you love me?"

"Yes, I do…so I beg you, my Empress…let Sheraphel stop from maiming Odette…" he pleaded.

"Surely, I will…" she smiled. "But, we shall first appreciate the entertainment from the both of you…"

It was her gleam that threatened them and compelled them, it was the devil that reside within her at the moment.
