Lunch was better than Camilla had expected. Alex was completely relaxed and was being funny without that forced macho aura. She preferred him that way. Sure, she didn't deny that she was attracted to him in any way, however, being so much more natural she could feel like he was someone like her, and not a powerful CEO of a big company. Someone practically unreachable.
He asked for the check as soon as they finished eating. Camilla pulled out her wallet, but Alex held up a hand to stop her.
"I invited you and chose the restaurant. It is only fair that I bear the costs." He declared before Camilla could pick up the coma and see the value. He knew that restaurant was expensive, as he liked to go there.
"But I accepted it and ate here." She answered and tried to grab the small folder where the bill was inside, but Alex's hand wouldn't let her.
"You'll choose the location and pay, next time. What do you say?" he said, and she narrowed her eyes at him.
