Chapter 33- Study At My Home
The next day, after class….
"Anna! Hey Anna!" Delilah called and Anna turned around.
"Yes Delilah, is there anything you need?" Annabelle answered with a calm smile.
"I-I j-just wanted to ask if you're free this evening, maybe you can help me study and don't worry about where we'll study, we can stay at my house, please say yes", Delilah said in a breath, she was panting as she had run over to meet Annabelle.
"But Amy….", before Anna could finish her sentence, Delilah said,
"Oh please! I'm not concerned about those pricks any more, I really want you to help me, I would rather not fail the exams this time".
Annabelle's jaw dropped, "Is this about Fredrick Li?", she smiled knowingly.
Delilah shook her head, "I really do not care about them any more, I just don't want to fail", Delilah answered honestly, her large deer eyes were begging for Anna's positive response to her request.
Anna wanted to say something but refrained, she sighed, "Fine, let me give my mom a call first, she has to know I'll be with you", said Anna and Delilah nodded happily.
Anna brought out her push-button phone, embarrassed and called her mom. After Delilah gave Anna's mother the address to her house, Anna's mother agreed to have her spend the night at Delilah's, she said she'll send Anna's clothes to Delilah's home.
On their way to Delilah's home, Anna spoke up, "Can you do me a favour?".
"Hm?" Delilah, who was stuffing her face with a milk bun, answered.
Annabelle's face reddened, "Can you please tell no one about the type of phone I am using….", she said with a face flushing with embarrassment.
"Why will I do that? Besides, whom do I want to tell? Put your mind at rest, and you'll also have to hide my secret when we get to my house, okay?" Delilah responded.
"Huh, your house? Oh…. Okay", Anna nodded, and they continued to walk. Annabelle fell into deep thoughts; what does she mean by that? Is her home that bad? Annabelle took a glance at Delilah, who had just finished stuffing her face with milk buns.
"Delilah….", Annabelle smirked evilly.
"Hm?", Delilah responded as she brought a bottled water to her mouth.
"I heard what happened between you and Fredrick after school yesterday, you still have a thing for him, don't you?" she asked as she wiggled her brow.
Delilah frowned, she looked at Anna, "And what makes you say that?", she scoffed as she returned the bottled water to her mouth to take a sip.
"I really don't know, love maybe?" Anna shrugged.
PFFT!- Delilah spatted the water that had just reached her throat out and began to cough uncontrollably.
Haha haha! Anna laughed out, Delilah's reaction was right on point and so humorous.
Delilah soon stopped coughing, her face was as red as a ripened tomato, she glared at Annabelle.
"There's no likeness nor friendship between us okay? We were just desk mates", Delilah said with a grumpy expression.
" If you say so", Anna shrugged while giggling.
