Delilah got to school in time. She walked into her class, her introverted self slowly taking over, she was nothing like the happy camper at the dining table earlier.
She went over to her seat. Fredrick is not in class, he probably should be in the library.
Delilah brought out her timetable and broke down in tears afterward, her most feared subject: mathematics.
Few minutes later,
RING!!!!!!!
The bell rang and students rushed into the class including Fredrick with his ever-charming smile, Delilah hurriedly lowered her head to cover her flushed face, no one could guess she was lamenting moments ago.
The mathematics teacher, Mr. Zhou walked into the classroom with his ever stern face. Though, he wore glasses, it made him look stricter. He halted behind the podium.
Delilah suddenly wish she could sink into her seat, she hadn't been doing well in mathematics lately, in fact, in all the subjects.
It is not that her scores were that bad, it wasn't just good either. Mr. Zhou picked the chalk and wrote an equation on the chalkboard before he faced the classroom.
His gaze turned sharp as if it were scanning the students, looking for whom to prey on.
Mr. Zhou is called the best and the worst mathematics teacher in the school. His teaching is the best, he teaches with passion, and they understand, but his tests are the worst.
None of the questions comes from the examples or explanation he gives in class, only two percent of students pass his test, but he actually makes their final exams simple.
His piercing gaze landed on the unlucky and scared girl sitting by the window.
" Miss Chen, how about you help us out on this question, huh?" Mr. Zhou's voice echoed in the class, he had a very scary smile across his lips.
Delilah almost broke down in tears," Why me! Why! Why should it be me! I don't know anything about this! And why should it be now that my idol is sitting beside me. I'm going to make a massive mockery of myself", Delilah mourned in her heart.
Fredrick frowned as her scrabble something down on a sheet of paper before he passed it to her, he wondered why this girl looked so paled because she was called to answer a question.
Delilah crunched the sheet of paper in her hand and looked at Fredrick like he was her savior.
" Delilah…", Mr. Zhou yelled, Delilah's back straightened instantly, cold sweat ran down her back. " Don't keep the class waiting…", Mr. Zhou said with an evil smirk that sent chills down her spine.
" Y-Y-Yes sir…", Delilah stammered as she slowly rose from her seat and walked to the chalkboard, she felt a few pitiful gazes on her.
