What does this Idiot Larsen even think of himself?! Convincing my friends might be an achievement for him, but not for me. They might be I enough to fall for his mischiefs, but not me. I've been just standing here and listening to what these two brothers have to say because apparently Audreya and Evelyn think that they are absolutely right.

When I first came here, I won't lie I was a little attracted to this idiot Larsen, but all I wanted to do now was to scratch the arrogant expression off his face. When Noah Lancaster stopped us all, the butterflies in my stomach got out because I saw Christian Larsen telling him something before he halted us, and I knew it was Christian Larsen behind it all. He didn't say anything at first, if you have something in mind, why don't just speak straight up, right? I didn't give up, instead, I barged into whatever Lancaster brother was trying to persuade Audreya to, and with me being so stubborn, he finally decided to speak up. I had to argue with him to keep the conversation going, but then he probably got tired of my persistence and moved his focus to Evelyn, the only one left for him to try and convince, which he finally succeeded. But the thing I didn't understand was why they were trying so freaking hard to not let us all go to the cafeteria, I bet it was all because of Nailea, and why the hell was Audreya agreeing to everything they had to say from the start!?? They should've listened to me. We should've gone to the cafeteria. I know how to kick asses, and if anything would've happened I could've definitely saved them. Or maybe that's what I think.

After we were done with our classes, Evelyn's father called her. He wanted her to come to the hospital because a patient needed her. Audreya went to the fashion gallery and I was off to Dean's diner. She told me there's been too much hustle and bustle these days because there's a wedding of some businessman's daughter, and everyone's been just working on it because the pay is marvelous. Well, good for her because my salary is shitty as hell. But I don't care because I love working is actually the main reason why I'm still there. I love looking at children's joyful faces when they get their favorite donut, or when someone's grandparents who have been coming here for so long, realize that their favorite coffee price has been lowered.

I've been looking for an actual job too though, but being in my second last semester no company had been assigning me 'as I'm not eligible yet'. If you want a more experienced person, just say it straight away. I don't like sugar-coated people at all, but those are the only kinds I've been coming across lately, which I absolutely hate.

After my shift, I went home, ate, and slept. Nothing is interesting in my life anyway.

--------------------- * ------------------------

It's been a few days, since that -don't go to cafeteria- scene. No one talked about it since. I've caught Noah Lancaster staring at our table a few times, to which he reacted with an uncanny smile. Weird guy. I have also noticed that Christian Larsen has been very irregular lately, not attending classes often. Anyways, why do I care? Let him fail his finals, his loss.

Today was Friday, which means the day, me and Audreya, and Marco are going to The Nightingale bar. I'd never been there before, but Audreya had. She is such a party girl. I don't think she's ever missed a party she's been invited to, whereas I don't like parties at all. We're very opposite from each other. Audreya has been trying to select an outfit for her from the day I told her about going, and me? Well, I'll probably just wear a fancy top with a pair of cute jeans, I don't know, I don't much like to dress up. Also, who am I going to dress up for? It's not like I have someone special. I'll definitely wear a dress when I have someone to look at me and say that I look pretty like genuinely and decently.

When I went home, she was already done with her hair and makeup. She's extraordinarily excited, I can tell.

"You're late. Go check your room, I've selected some options for you." What options? I don't remember asking her for anything. I went inside my room and saw three different dresses lying on my bed with matching pair of heels. I don't wear heels at all. Every time I tried, I ended up hurting my ankle. "None," I shouted from my room. We have thin walls so we could hear each other from our respective rooms.

"Excuse me?" I turned and saw her standing near the door frame with her hands crossed over her torso with a confusingly mad face. "I'll just wear this." I pointed towards the 'fancy' top casually sitting on the bed and a pair of denim shorts. I figured she'd definitely say no to jeans because-"We're going to a bar, not to someone's funeral." See, already knew that.

"How about I wear this shirt on top of this black tank top with those shorts? This'll look amazing."

~"No. Just wear the damn dress!"

"You know, I don't do dresses."

~"Yeah because you're saving it for someone special. I know, but just think what if you meet that 'someone special' tonight?" Yeah, she's definitely gaslighting me."Then I should definitely wear-" Her face lit up with my words. "the shorts"

~"What?" She thought I was going to say dress, ha-ha.

"He should see me the way I am, don't you think?" She's so done with me, I can tell by just looking at the expression on her face. "Okay, shorts are not bad either, though," she said, waving her hand towards the denim shorts.

"Exactly!"

~"Be quick, it's already 8. I'm waiting outside." She said and went back to her room. I got ready, did a little makeup, and wore my outfit. And now, it was time for hair. I have very long hair, so it takes a whole eternity for me to style them. I'll probably do something simple for tonight, so I just curled my curtain bangs and left my natural waves in it. I had 'em in a braid since morning, so it kind of worked as a heatless wavy method.

When I was getting ready I got a text from Marco, asking if I'm not ditching the plan which I usually do, but I didn't this time which means I will have to socialize tonight. Audreya can do that part, I'll just stay with her. After 30 minutes, we were off to The Nightingale. I texted Marco that we'll meet him there in a few minutes. The bar isn't that far from our house, by car it took us exactly 5-7 minutes. I counted.

I got out of the passenger seat, but Audreya didn't. Wait why is she-? "So, something came up." She said making a -I'm sorry, just don't be mad at me- face. "What? And you're telling me now when we're outside a freaking bar. You could've told me earlier, I could've asked Marco to reschedule."

~"It's not some kind of meeting that you could reschedule. Go, have fun. Don't worry about me, okay." I didn't say anything, just nodded with a sad and lonely face. I wanted to bring her here today. I don't even remember the last time we hung out together.

Marco was sitting at the counter with a whiskey in his hand already, he was so needy that he couldn't even wait for us to be here, sorry my bad- he couldn't even wait for me to be here. He saw me coming so, he kept his drink aside and came over to me.

"Hi, you came!" Like he didn't know I was coming. I just nodded to his stupid/dumb question with a cranky smile, he didn't notice the smile, good. "Where is your roommate?" Roommate? She has a name, you dumbass. "Her name is Audreya, and she isn't coming. Some last-minute work thing came up."

~"Oh. It's fine. Work's important too. Here, have a seat." He said pulling back a chair off the counter for me to sit. "Thank you," I replied.

It was a fine evening, but not much without Audreya. I was hoping to spend more time with her than Marco, but my life could never go as planned, could it? For the rest of the evening, Marco and I talked about 'how our life has been', he offered me whiskey a few times which I denied every time. I'm a light drinker, so vodka for me is fine. I don't add soda either, I can't stand it. So just water for me is fine too.

I'm tired of talking but he can never shut up. I guess I have to tolerate him for the rest of the night. Minutes later, something popped up in his brain, and he asked me to dance. "Let's dance. Shall we?"

"Can't say 'no' to that now, can I?" I think I should probably try and have some fun.
