Chapter 72: Hospitalization
Lucas Carter was hit hard, and he fell to the ground unconscious.
Ella's scream shook Charlotte Cooper's eardrums, causing her pain.
Seeing that Lucas Carter was the one who was hit, the driver panicked and quickly reversed to leave.
Through the windshield of the car, Charlotte saw a familiar figure—it was Ethan Carter's ex-girlfriend, with whom she had a conflict recently.
"Ella, call an ambulance quickly."
Charlotte kept calling Lucas's name.
Seeing Ella's trembling fingers, she grabbed the phone and dialed 120, briefly explaining the situation.
Lucas was pushed onto the ambulance, and Charlotte also got on.
Ella looked at the blood on the ground and cried as she called Henry Russell.
"Dr. Russell, Lucas Carter was hit by a car trying to save Genna Winslet. They are both on the ambulance now."
Henry Russell, who was treating a patient at the time, was stunned.
