"Hello?"Xiu Daiyu's eyes are still closed, grasping the situation that someone disturbed her deep sleep.

"How important is this that you even disrupt-"

"Xiu Daiyu."she opened her eyes and got up immediately.

She couldn't remember when was the last time she heard the voice coming from the other line. But one thing for sure, she waited this for a long time.

She couldn't speak nor move a little bit. She didn't know what were the right words she needed now in order to create a noise between her and the person.

"Come back."her heart started to pound heavily then warm tears fell slowly from the corner of her eyes.

The person hung up the call already yet she was still holding her phone for almost 10 minutes. The blissful feeling couldn't contain her heart and she wanted to cry more but she composed herself. She doesn't want to wait until the dawn breaks, she needs to ready herself now.

"You want to have a three-months vacation?"said by the CEO while scanning Xiu Daiyu's letter for her vacation leave.

Xiu Daiyu didn't answer the obvious question of her Boss instead she just stood firmly in front of him. And the CEO managed to notice her implicitly response to his question.

"It's only a year when you started working here yet you want to ask a vacation leave?"

For so many experiences she acquired during her work in the different small companies, she was able to enter the most-highly grossed company in their mainland. Over the pass twelve months, she managed to climb up the ladder of the company. And now, she belongs in the Administration team of the company.

"I apologize Sir but this personal matter is more important than my promotion. I have waited for almost twelve years so I couldn't just let this chance slips now."her father called last night for the first time of twelve years. And she knew that if she's not able to response in an instant, she will never receive a call from her father again.

"Fine, but this will affect your supposedly promotion."the CEO said at last.

The moment she filed her vacation leave, she already ready herself for the worst scenario.

"I'm well-informed Sir."

Xiu Daiyu bid goodbye to her fellow colleagues before she walk out from the company. She put her palm above her heart, it's full of hope and dream.

Finally, her long wait was over.

Xiu Daiyu arrived in front of her parents' house but she couldn't able to step out from her car.

She is tensed by the idea of facing her father after a long time. She still remembered her father's last words.

( "Don't even dare to show yourself nor your shadow in front of my house. You don't belong to Xiu family anymore." )

The first time she heard her father's words of dismissing her as her daughter, she didn't budge nor gave a pinch of care for it. She was focus on running away from everything.

But after five years of being apart from everyone, she realized that no one could live without a family. She missed every meal that she shared with her family, the reunion and occasions with her relatives, and the feeling of having a family.

Xiu Daiyu's deep thoughts were stop by a knock of the security officer.

"Miss. If you excuse me, I notice your car is been parked for almost an hour in front of Xiu Residence. May I know if you have a business with the family?"

"Xiu Daiyu."she clearly stated her name for she knew this would be the only excuse that can be understood by the security officer. But in her surprise, the police officer still couldn't recognize her.

She just thought maybe the police officer couldn't recognize her because of the years that had already passed.

"Miss Xiu Daiyu-Oh I remember now."just when she was feel so down and heavy-hearted, finally the police officer-

"I saw your name in the guest list."she couldn't help herself but to laugh, what was she hoping for. She just smiled to the officer.

"Please wait for a moment, Miss. I'm going to open the gate."

The security officer rushed back to the gate and quickly opened it. While she let out a sigh and started her car's engine.

"I'm sorry but the head of the family is not here Miss Xiu. He has a business trip with his wife."the servant replied after Xiu Daiyu stated that she's visiting the family.

"Maybe you can visit some other time Miss."Xiu Daiyu unconsciously arched her eyebrows. The servant only stared at Xiu Daiyu for she didn't know who exactly the woman that interrupted her work in the Mansion's hall.

"Xiu Daiyu?" the servant and Xiu Daiyu automatically turned their head to the person. It's Xiu Daiyu's old nanny.

"I'm glad that you're still here Madam Feng." Xiu Daiyu voiced out. She entitled her old nanny as Madam Feng ever since she was still a little child. She was not sure when did it started, maybe the time she was scold by the old woman. She approached the old woman and give her a hugged. They are both delighted to embrace each other again after a long time.

However, the servant was in bewilderment. She hoped that she didn't make a mistake but she remembered the gossip of her fellow servants. She heard that the youngest son of Xiu was actually the child of their long-lost eldest daughter. She thought if the woman is the real eldest daughter of the household then the gossip must be true. She must apologized. "Forgive me, Miss Xiu."she stuttered as she also bowed her head.

"No worries."Xiu Daiyu replied. She had no ill-feelings about it but rather shocked. Even though she was not here for so many years, how could that they never knew her name. She is still Xiu Daiyu, the eldest daughter of the household.

"I'm going to leave you here for the meantime. I will just instruct the cook and servants to prepare your meal."the old woman said as she instructed also the servant in the hall to go back in her work.

"Oh!and your sibling are still in their rooms."Xiu Daiyu let out a small laugh by her old nanny's uneasiness.

"Take it easy Madam Feng."but the old woman didn't hear it anymore for she was already walking towards the kitchen hall.

Xiu Daiyu roamed around the hall, she thought there would be a lot of changes but the classic style was still evident in every corner. She smiled bitterly as her eyes landed in the displayed picture frames. The only thing that changed was every portraits of her was detach on the walls. She clearly understood now why did the security officer and the servant couldn't recognize her. Her father made sure that not a single person could remember her as his daughter.

However, she couldn't take this anymore, her siblings were not still welcoming her.

"Sister!"she turned her back. Xiu Daiyu's siblings situated themselves horizontally in front of their main door. A banner and a cake was in their hands, they secretly prepared for welcoming their sister.

"What's this?It's only making me uncomfortable." Xiu Daiyu uttered as she crossed her arms.

" Oh yes, we are also honored to welcome you."Xiu Chen-the eldest son of Xiu replied, ignoring her sister's remark. He approached Xiu Daiyu."Now, blow the candles little sister."Xiu Daiyu rolled her eyes but blew the candles in the end.

"I heard, Wang Jian will marry you now. At last. Well, I should start calling him brother-in-law."Xiu Chen announced as he laid the cake above the mini table. Xiu Daiyu gave questionable eyes to her brother. "That's unintelligible speech of yours, brother. And that will not gonna happen."Xiu Daiyu retorted as she slumped down in the sofa.

"Why Sister?Are you still mad with brother Wang?"

"It's not that she's mad Xiu Ying, more likely our sister has this bitter feelings until now even it's more than 12 years that she's apart from her first love."Xiu Daiyu fixed her deadly eyes to her younger brother, Xiu Dan.

"It's a joke sister. I just missed you."Xiu Dan quickly retracted his words then he sat beside Xiu Daiyu and hugged her. "Yeah right, only last month that we saw each other."

After Xiu Daiyu realized that she still needed her family, she contacted her siblings and her mother but of course behind the knowledge of her father. Every year her siblings visit her or sometimes they called her to notify her about Xiu Guiren- her son. Her siblings informed her that their father forbade them to mention her name. In public or even inside their residence.

Xiu Daiyu couldn't blame her father because what all she did was to disappoint him over and over again. Until her father get tired of fixing her life so in the end he stopped being her father.

"Anyway, where is Xiu Guiren?"Xiu Daiyu's siblings stood up and pretended that they did not hear their sister.

"Have you eaten sister?"Xiu Ying tried to divert Xiu Daiyu's attention.

"I guess you're tired from your long trip."Xiu Chen added.

"Sister, did you perhaps bought souvenirs for us."

"Where is my son?"Xiu Daiyu grimly asked her siblings. But they were all avoiding her questioning eyes.

"Oh, I'm already late. This will dampen my image as the CEO."

"Dear me, I'm also late."

"This is not good, our team leader will report me again to our father."

"Stop it. They were all conspicuous acts."Xiu Daiyu asserted to her siblings.

"Xiu Daiyu, just ask our father. My patience to your child is already reached its highest peak."Xiu Chen stated with disappointment in his eyes.

"Don't worry sister, your son is safe."

"Very secured with his own-"Xiu Chen and Xiu Ying darted their warning eyes to Xiu Dan.

"Let's catch up later sister."Xiu Dan revoked his sentence and swiftly step out from their house. If he stayed longer, he might drop the bomb. And Xiu Ying also followed Xiu Dan.

"Just wait our parents."Xiu Daiyu nodded to Xiu Chen. "And please. Don't let your feelings reign everything of you again."

"What are you talking about again-"

"I'm pretty serious here Xiu Daiyu. This time with Wang Jian, prioritize your child before yourselves."

Xiu Daiyu couldn't fathom her brother's indirect words but she felt restless about it.
