chapter Six: I made you laugh

"Jesus" senior Jude shierked "what is the meaning - hell is this " he growled loud but Elizabeth kept quiet as she knew it was the money situation "how did they expect us to get the money "he judged with anger "where is the doctor"he stood up as he wanted to stomp out of the room forgetting his wife until she held him down,before he seem to come back to his mind.

"what is the problem " Mary asked gently patting his back

"nothing" his head bowed in shame as he cursed himself for been poor but he was shocked with hi wife calmness, his expression wronged

" will I die " she asked with cracked voice like she knew what will happen but put on a determined face

" no mom,you won't die " Elizabeth cut in as she started crying

"ah God " her father hissed in pain as he held his head

" what us the matter " she rushed to his side panicking

" what did we do to deserve this where will we get this money from " senior Jude lamented "ahh" he held his hand again as he bowed down

Elizabeth just stood there not knowing what to do ,her mind was telling her she caused all this ,and the guilt was killing her

she coughed to get their attention which it did ." I will go home to prepare something and bring some cloth ", she said and Mart just nodded at her then she left with her mind racing on what yo do she just got a job and even if it was not her dream , she couldn't collect loan as the company policy is that you have to have at least three years working experience there before you can collect a loan and it was done like that to see loyalty of employees so one won't just collect loan and go missing during the three years all your information will be know to them .

" Ah what will I do now I can't just stay and do nothing she thought as the first born that she had to take the responsibility.

she picked out her phone when she had it ringing as she saw the caller it was her friend Lucy

" haaa" Lucy screamed from the other end that made her remove the phone from her ear " what hapo I heard from Daniel about aunty ,why didn't you tell me am coming there now "lucy said in one breath

"no,don't come Elizabeth said " am coming home , stay with the twins am on my way ".

" yeh come fast am really hungry " Lucy said in hope if making her friend laugh and she did which made her happy " yeh you laughed, I made you laugh" Lucy said chanting it like a song and Elizabeth could already picture her picking her fist in the air in victory .

". bye " and with that the line went off and that was when she realized she has been trekking a long distance and the pain had start kicking in

she scoffed " ah jeez so I have been trekking without realizing it " she then looked up to be surprised that she is almost near the junction of her house " why don't i just finish it and save money ".
