Joan was laid down on the hospital bed , lewis sat looking at her peaceful face " why are you so delicate?, I try my best making sure you won't suffer, but I can't protect you from body illness." that's one thing that he couldn't do.

He received a phone call from Joan's house manager " Boss lewis, Beth packed her belongings and left.. " she tried to calm down. " a man came for her , who I believe is her ex". how could she go back after all that.

He hanged up, sat looking out the big window, they treated her like hell but she still went back , hasn't she suffered enough? all types of questions ran through his mind.

she was selfish, she never thought of her daughter . He could only run his beautiful fingers through his hair, what could he do ? he had no say in their issues, he could only let them deal with it themselves.

He never had a happy family himself how will he improve others complicated family. The driver helped him transfer Joan to his home, he still leaved in his dad's mansion.

" so nowadays you've become charity ? you go collecting homeless lowlifes and come damping in the wells mansion,!" Natalie wells spat , she couldn't tolerate her step son's behavior.

" if you feel uncomfortable then leave, you never spent a cent even in a tea spoon, so learn to shut up and don't go snooping into people's lives it's bad for skin." she found him there so she has no right to master all his steps.

" your dad will be back from country B am sure he'll teach you a valuable lesson, you pathetic lunatic." he had no idea what she had in her evil brain.

Lewis didn't pay attention to her blabbing nonsense so he went upstairs carrying Joan like a bride, if she opened her eyes and find him carrying her this way she would feel embarrassed.

He laid her gently on his bed , he no longer planned to leave her in the guest room his monster step mother was evil enough to throw her through the window.

He planned on how to deal with his dad about her staying here. He left to get her clothes, she'll leave here with him , he never planned to tell her about her mom's decision.

In the living room , Natalie sat drinking wine, " you stupid child just wait and see I'll make sure you're dragged out of this mansion, this was always mine before that wicked mother of yours took it." she complained.

Only God knew what was running through her head , she was the first love of Hugo wells .She was even pregnant with twins but she miscarried after the shocking news that he married another woman.

She was so furious , she couldn't believe that he couldn't easily marry another woman after there planned marriage. She wasn't from a rich family so marring to this family was really hard, so she had to work hard to gain something from him.

They also had a son before the twins, she swore that her son was the one inheriting all Hugo's wealth even if she had to play dirty.
