Chapter 13

He looked down and closed his eyes. He kept ticking like he was in a battle in his mind. He finally looked at me and his eyes were a bright yellow, almost gold, "Mine!" He growled.

I sucked in a breath, not in fear, but because of something I could not yet describe. I wasn't afraid of either one of them, but I have never met Rine before and I wasn't expecting this, I was expecting Jack to completely shift, but he didn't, "now this is something I need to get used to." I said with a small smile. "I thought when this happened, at least in the stories I've read, when wolves and humans shift like you just did your eyes are supposed to be black?"

He looked at me in confusion, "They are black." He tried pointing it out.

I shook my head not looking away, "No, they are bright gold." I said, taking out my phone and pulling up the camera.

He furrowed his eyes, seeming to talk to Jack in the back of his mind. A few seconds later Jack's eyes went back to his normal brown color, "We have to go." Was all he said before grabbing my hand and running out the door.

He dragged me out to the car, and opened the passenger side door for me, "Where are we going?" I asked, a little freaked out at his sudden change of mood.

"To see the pack witch. This isn't normal." He said, pointing to his eyes, "no wolves eyes change like mine did. At least not to my knowledge."

My mouth dropped at the word 'witch', "your meaning to tell me Witches are real too?!" I yelled in shock.

He gave me a concerned look, "you're ok with werewolves, but not witches?" He asked, kind of amused.

"I never said I wasn't ok with the thought of witches. I never expected them to be real!" I retorted. I mean come on, first Werewolves, now witches! What else is out there that I don't know about!?

30 minutes passed and we pulled up to a beautiful cottage. "Where are we?"

"The outskirts of the territory. She lives on the border of our territory and another pack that we have an alliance with. She helps both of us when we need her." He answered.

I nodded my head and clicked my tongue taking in all the details. The cottage was gorgeous. I wish my apartment was like this! Then I remembered, "Jack! My horses! I've been gone a week and I haven't gone out to care for them!" I panicked. They were probably dead at this point.

He looked over at me, "princess calm down, my sister has been tending to them while you have been here. They are perfectly fine." He reassured.

I took a long and deep breath in and out, "I want to go see them." I said, more of an order than asking.

He gave me an amused look, I'm pretty sure he wasn't used to being given orders, but he didn't retaliate, "ok, we can see them after we are done here."

I smiled and said, "thank you!" I yelled a little loudly, but it didn't seem to phase him.

"Let's head in shall we? She's waiting for us." Jack said as he got out and opened my door for me like the true gentleman he is.

Honestly, I don't understand how he's the most feared man in all the werewolf kingdom. He's been nothing but a sweet puppy to me.

He led me inside to where we were greeted by a beautiful woman, not looking much older than Jack and I, "Alpha Jack, Luna Willow." She nods. "what do owe the honors of your presence today."

Jack sat me down next to him on the couch, "My eyes." Was all Jack said.

"What do you mean?" She asked, clearly annoyed at his bluntness.

"It's best to just show you." He said then blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were the bright golden color as before.

"Hello Rine." She said. She sat there and studied his eyes for a little while.

"Give me your hand." She ordered, causing Rine to growl at her order.

"If you want me to help you figure out what is happening, what's causing this change, I'd suggest you give me your hand." She shot back.

Rine rolled his eyes but gave her his hand, not missing the light growl. This wolf was a stubborn one, that's for sure.

The woman grabbed his hand and closed her eyes. I saw her eyebrows furrowed, as she was in deep thought. After some time her eyes opened and shot at me.

"You. You are the reason for this change. It's not a bad change at all. But he is in fact getting stronger. I can see you aren't marked yet, so whenever that happens, a lot more changes will come." She said to me.

"Will he be ok? Will they be able to handle this new amount of power?" I asked getting worried.

She nodded her head, "yes dear. He will do just fine. Him and Rine are both extremely powerful as it is. He most likely won't be able to tell when he does."

I nodded in understanding, "what about me?" Could you learn about me. I keep getting told I'm something but nobody knows what I am. I was told if I don't complete the mating process, the power I hold will keep getting stronger and will eventually cause me to explode." I explained.

She nodded, "of course Luna. Give me your hand." I did as she ordered. She grabbed it and closed her eyes. As soon as we touched, she let out a soft gasp.

After some time she opened her eyes and looked into mine, "Oh my. How is this even possible?" She asked to no one in particular.

"What?" I asked.

"Luna, what we call you is a tribred, but your not our typical everyday tribred. You will have the ability to shift into a horse, and a wolf, but you have the powers of all of the elements." She said in shock.
