I was furious with my father but I was so glad Rose chose to come with me. I was so glad she had not sided with that monster. I couldn't forgive him for the things he had done. I might never forgive him. He has only ever made my life miserable. He took away the love of my life, he hired the one enemy I have, and before all that he chose to love his work above his own flesh and blood. I was never a priority, just another soldier to do his bidding. It was no wonder Mom left him before I was even old enough to remember her. Or maybe he lied about that too. Maybe Mom was still alive and he banished her away or something or worse she was dead. We walked in silence hand in hand. I was still so pissed off it was hard to cool down. My full wolf form was aching to be released. I needed a release. I needed to be away from this place I couldn't take it. I looked at Rose and then shifted. She nodded and shifted to her wolf as well. He beautiful remarkable wolf that I had forgotten just how great it was to see her like that. She didn't change that often but that was mainly my fault. We spent most of our time helping my father which didn't require much of being in wolf form. I stayed in my human form the majority of the time and she liked to match my energy. it would also be a little awkward for us to do the deed if she were a wolf and I a human or vice versa. It was easier to be on the same page. I nuzzled her lovingly before I took off running making sure she could follow. She did and soon we were running side by side. Where we were headed. I had no clue but I've never felt so free to be running away from my father. The truest beast of them all.
