Heartbreak never ceases for some

I went to my room as my father had followed me all the way there to make sure I went to bed as he instructed. The second he left I went right up to the door and listened for his presence to disappear. As soon as it did I was on my way out the room and towards the place where he was holding Linda. I hoped he hadn't gone back into the secret lab or whatever. After getting lost a little bit I found the proper door again and peeked inside. It didn't seem like he was here. Perhaps he decided to go to bed as well. I was glad I didn't run into him. I had no excuse as to why I would have snuck back. It wasn't like I had shown too much interest in his work as he probably was thinking. Seeing as he sent me off to bed like a child. I searched the rows for Linda in her tube. When I finally found it I searched for a way to open it. There wasn't any on the actual structure. Which was really confusing and I wondered how I would get her out of here. The rest of these creatures I didn't trust to bother with. Freeing them would be the right thing to do but I didn't have the time to save them all. I began searching the drawers and everything trying to find some clue as to how to open it. I found some paperwork. I read as fast as possible. It was confusing but I did recall some of the things my dad was trying to teach me. Like for instance this one particular phrase I knew was a spell. For what I wasn't sure. I think it is to open the tubes or one of them. I'm not sure which. I could try to pronounce it and see if it works to help Linda. I owe it to her brother Lucas to at least try to save her. I don't want him to hate me. 

I tried my best to recite the words on the paper while standing near Linda. Nothing happened at first and then the whole room began to shake and Linda's tube disappeared. Soon the others started to do the same. Linda had fallen into my arms confused. She was alive at least. I could see the questions forming on her lips. "No time to explain we have to get out here now!" Alarms began blaring and I didn't want to stick around to find out what these other creatures would do to us. Using my vamp speed I scooped her up and ran out of there as fast as possible. I frantically pushed the button for the elevator. If only there was a better way out of here. "Lupus, where are we? What's going on? Linda asked as I anxiously waited looking around hoping none of those things followed us. "I'll explain everything later. For now, just trust me okay?" I pleaded. She nodded still seemingly a bit groggy. She rested her head on my shoulder. I wondered if part of her was happy that I was carrying her cause she does have a huge crush on me. I don't like her that way though. I hope she doesn't misread this rescue. The doors finally opened and I hopped in the elevator with her pushing for them to close again. Just before they closed I saw one of the creatures emerge from down the hall. It stared directly into my eyes and I got an uneasy feeling as the doors shut and we ascended.
