The woman in Daddy’s wallet

With great difficulty, Maid Li was able to coax Xiaozhuo after she found her with a stranger. "Xiaozhuo, stop crying now. The old madam wouldn't like it if she saw your eyes swollen from crying", Maid Li begged.

"But you took me away from mummy! She's really mummy. Why won't you believe me, auntie?" Xiaozhuo exclaimed in return.

Maid Li was at a loss. Indeed, children without their mothers would always seek for them, long for their mother's affection and care. In the end, Maid Li can only explain. "Little miss, the young master always told you that your mummy is abroad, right? Then that miss can't be your mummy if she's abroad. You might be mistaken."

Despite Maid Li's explanation, Xiaozhuo won't back down and further explained. "No. I can't be mistaken. She was the one on the picture in Daddy's wallet!"

Hearing Xiaozhuo's words caught Xiaofan's attention. "Did you really see mummy? Does she really look like the woman in daddy's wallet?" Xiaofan can't help but ask.

"I told you all. Why can't you all believe me?" Xiaozhuo screamed in frustration. She hated it that no one believed her that she saw her mummy.

Meanwhile, Maid Li felt panic on how the conversation is escalating. Seeing how Xiaozhuo caught her brother, Xiaofan's attention, Maid Li decided she needs to end the discussion. "Aigoo, let's stop talking about it, okay? Your grandma would not be happy to learn you troubled a young miss at the airport today when you sent your daddy off, okay little miss and little master?" Maid Li declared sternly.

Hearing how Maid Li said it sternly, Xiaozhuo can only pout and stop her arguments while Xiaofan can only look out the car's window and think about what Xiaozhuo said.

Now that the kids have stopped discussing is the only time Maid Li can heave a sigh of relief. The old madam hated the twin's mother. She didn't know who the kids' mother are but she knew the old madam didn't like her based on the old madam's reaction whenever the twins brought up their mother. Thus, she can only stop the kids' discussion and make sure to never let the old madam hear this.

But in Maid Li's heart, she pitied the kids for growing up without their mother. For kids around the little miss and the little master's age, no matter how well off, is the time they will most need their mother's affection and care. Sadly, kids like them didn't have their mother by their side.
