Meeting

Dong Zichen attended meetings after meetings. Finally, he is to attend his last meeting for the day, he thought to himself.

"Secretary Chen, who will be my last meeting?" Dong Zichen asked his secretary.

"Director Dong, you'll be meeting a manager of MH Group for the collaboration project." Secretary Chen answered.

Confused on what on earth is happening for him to meet a mere manager from the rival company, Dong Zichen decided to question Secretary Chen. "Are you telling me they sent a mere manager to meet a director?"

Secretary Chen who knew Dong Zichen would eventually question this had no choice but to tell him the truth. "Director, truthfully, you are to meet the Eldest Young Miss. She came back from A Country and took on the head of the planning department."

Upon hearing he's about to meet Yiyang, Zichen's eyes visibly darkened and the atmosphere in the car dropped to a chilling temperature. "So she came finally came back?" Zichen snickered.

Noting the mockery in Zichen's words, Secretary Chen contemplated whether to ask Dong Zichen to turn around the car or to go to the meeting. "Director, we can still reschedule the meeting and send someone instead of meeting Miss Xu." Secretary Chen suggested.

"Why are we rescheduling the meeting? Do you really think I'm scared of seeing her again? Drive faster instead. We can't be late for the meeting." Dong Zichen tried to remind his secretary.

In the end, Zichen arrived earlier at the hotel. However, Secretary Chen isn't feeling comfortable with Zichen's decision to continue and tried to stop him. "Director, maybe you still want to reschedule and send someone instead? Are you really sure?"

"One word from you and you better scram if you still want to stop me." Zichen warned as he entered the reserved room.

Zichen waited for five minutes until Yiyang arrived. Seeing Yiyang walked through the door, Zichen felt like his lungs were running out of air to breathe. It was like it is sucking the life out of him. After five years, no matter how much he hates her, he can't believe she can still take his breath away.

Noting how Director Dong seemed to be in a daze, Yiyang decided to greet him first. "Hello, Director Dong. Sorry for making you wait."

Dong Zichen who heard her was immediately pulled out of his stupor. "Hi, Manager Xu. No need to worry. And nice to meet you. Shall we start our meeting now?" Dong Zichen replied.

"Sure"

The meeting started with Zichen proposing his ideas and Yiyang suggesting her own points to his ideas. But everything seemed to change when it was Yiyang's turn to propose her ideas. Zichen seemed like he was out to get her. He was out to point out her ideas are useless and that he can't believe it was from MH Group's manager.

"Are you sure, Manager Xu? This idea seems pretty obvious that this should be done. I'm sorry but I can't believe I'm hearing this from MH Group's planning department head. You know, if you can't perform well, you should have stayed home and maybe got married to take care of your kids than to attend meetings to frustrate your business partners." Dong Zichen said mockingly.

Meanwhile, Yiyang who was holding back since Dong Zichen started attacking her finally decided that it was enough. "You know what, Director Dong? If you have any problems with me, you should have been straightforward from the start instead of throwing your personal attacks on me. You just wasted both of our times. I guess I'm sorry that I wasn't able to meet your expectations and let's just reschedule this meeting so I can send someone better in my stead. Goodbye." Yiyang sneered as she stood up from her seat, got her bag and walked out of the door.

Dong Zichen who received Yiyang's sharp words just smirked from the side as he got up from his seat and followed Yiyang. But as soon as he got out, he saw Yiyang who was puzzled finding Yiqian outside of their meeting room.

"Yiqian, you, what are you doing here?" Yiyang asked Yiqian.

Yiqian who was like a mouse caught by a cat stumbling to find an excuse ended up using the 'I want to eat dinner with you' card. "Jie, I want to eat dinner with you so I thought I should just follow you here." Yiqian smiled as she wished her older sister would buy her excuse.

When Yiyang was about to answer, Zichen was faster to interrupt her. "Oh, look who we have here. Are you here to fetch your sister? Nice timing, our meeting's over. You can eat dinner with her. By the way, it was nice to see you again, Yiqian." Zichen said as he left the place with a smirk on his face that annoyed Yiyang more.
