287: She Will Never......

"Why are you avoiding me? I thought I was your best friend but lately, you have been avoiding me? Did I do something wrong? Or it's the stupid kiss I placed on your cheeks in the class and the girls laughed at us? I don't care about that kiss, I want my best friend back and I am sorry if the kiss made you feel upset."

Zeke was standing beside Adrian who was busy pretending that he didn't notice him standing by him. He kicked the small ball that was at his feet and watched it roll away. He wasn't sure why he was mad at Zeke either, to some extent he felt that the kiss and other kids laughing at them was the reason. He wanted to tell Zeke to go away but he couldn't. Looking around he was still standing there. His two siblings were standing a distance away, he could see the murderous expression on Nimo's face and he feared for the worst. He quickly grabbed Zeke's hands and dragged him away from the eyes of his siblings.

"Did you tell your sister that I was mad at you?"

Adrian looked at him and Zeke nodded making Adrian bite his tongue while looking at Zeke. He knew this was a bad time and if Nimo catches him, he is dead. 

"You know Nimo will kill me if she finds me, please tell her not to, plus why did you tell them, I thought you were to keep it quiet." 

Zeke sighed and looked at him. He knew Adrian didn't understand the type of family he has. They are caring and will notice anything the minute he is not okay.

"My parents have a strong instinct and they can notice if I am unhappy. Plus, I didn't finish the weekly reading because you had me worried. I don't want us to be mad at each other. I will stop following you then and even make sure that I don't bring you cupcakes and cookies when my mum makes some. Plus I won't bring us candies and chocolate and hide behind the beaches every break if you want that."

Adrian didn't want that either, he was also sad they haven't been talking. Maybe he was the reason here. He couldn't bear the fact that Zeke wanted to abandon everything just because their classmates laughing at them. Maybe he was mad that people laughed at them because girls get to kiss boys and not boys kiss other boys. 

"Please don't do that. You know we love sharing food and I don't want to miss your sweet cookies and cupcakes because of that. I don't care if they laughed at us, I am okay with everything. I will make sure I am your friend."

Zeke hugged him and Adriana warmed to the hug squeezing Zeke in his brace. 

"Maybe my sister won't punch you after all. She threatened to do that if you don't say why we are not talking. I didn't want her to punch you because her hands are always painful if she does that."

Adrian laughed at Zeke, they knew Nimo was like their elder sibling though she is just the same year as them. She tends to feel like she has the authority over all of them. Sometimes he would ask them to all wait for her and watch her practise, sometimes she walks with all of them around even when it is unnecessary for them.

"It's good that we are friends again. Maybe I should make you a bracelet, that way we will bear each other even when you are far. Let's make them stretchable like the one you gave me."

Zeke nodded and together they headed out of the room that they were hiding in. They found Rose, Nimo and Abbrianna standing by the door hands on their chest.

         "Tell me,  are you both talking now, a bunch of weirdos."

Nimo was the first person to speak. Zeke nodded so did Adrian. 

"Jeez you both have mouths, I dont entertain the head nodding, you are not mute!"

"Jeez, Nimo, we are talking, you want me to shout it?"

"You don't need to, your consistent stupid smile is betraying you and why are you even holding hands like fools, we are at the party, let's hang out with those stupid thirteen years old kids who think they have everything figured out. Slap someone if you think they are trying to fuck you up!"

The four kids nodded and they both dispersed in different directions. 

Zeke and Adriana to the north, Rose and Abrianna to the East and Nimo was out of nowhere moving in the opposite direction.

"Why are you wearing Nimo's bracelet? I thought I gave you mine to wear?"

Abtianna was now on Rose's neck. Rose looked at his hands. He has been wearing this bracelet ever since he met Nimo. Maybe he should let it be and wear, Abrianna's name on his hands before she gets mad.

"I am not mad, but you are my boyfriend and you should wear mine, bring this I will take it to the room where we will pick it up later. You three can get a common bracelet that had everyone's name on it and wear it as siblings, it will be better."

Rose nodded and removed the expandable bracket. Abrianna placed it in the extra room that was Jade's. 

        They escaped outside to play. 

"Hello Nimo, how are you doing?"

Nimo turned around to meet Jade's mother walking all over the place tired. She smiled and walked over to her hug her and then smiled at her. 

   "Maybe you can have a sit while I massage your feet ma?"

Jade's mum smiled as Nimo lead her to the site that was near the window away from the other guest.  Sitting down, she placed her legs on Nimo's lap and gently Nimo started massaging it, she knew this was not the way she was supposed to do it but she tried her best. She wanted to help her get comfortable. Done with her legs she went to get her shoulder, doing what she can to make her feel relaxed. 

"How are you feeling, if you think I am not doing it right, tell me okay?"

Jade's mum nodded mad smiled.  She was enjoying every moment that came with it.

        "Hun, are you okay?"

Jade's dad came out of nowhere. He was in some khaki shorts and a shirt. Jade's mum smiled at him and nodded. 

"Nimo, hello, how are you doing? Did she make you do this, she can be disturbing sometimes, if you want I can help."

"Jeez, babe, she is doing it right, what's wrong with you, I am having a dime good time with my daughter-in-law so chill."

Nimo widened her orbs looking at both of them. She didn't understand anything they were talking about apart from the word, daughter. She wanted to excise herself but Jade's mother held her and she couldn't move. 

Jade's dad had no otherwise and walked away. The other women streamed in and went to sit with Jade's mother. 

Daniella watched as Nimo was massaging the woman widened her eyes looking at her. She has never seen her this committed to something other than basketball. 

"Nimo is there a favour you want Jade's mom to do for you, you can't be on her back trying to make her feel comfy, without needing a favour."

Nimo shook her head instantly looking at her mother. 

"Mum, I am trying to help her, plus Jade is my friend why wouldn't I help her. She was tired from walking all around? What do you think?"

Abrianna's mum looked at her and nodded making Daniella shut her mouth. 

"Okay, I will now leave you guys to talk about your stuff while I look for someone else to disturb. We will see each other later Mrs Dominic."

"Sure my daughter make sure you see me before you go home, okay?"

Nimo raised her brows and nodded while rushing out of the room.

"Damn, I love her, can she be my daughter-in-law?"

"Claire, for Christ's sake, calm your tits,, she is only seven. Why would she do that, plus don't make Jade feel like he can't make his choice."

"Jeez, have you seen the way Jade is talking about her, every second, he is like, Nimo this, Nimo that, I just show how he is good around his than around his friends."

Daniel watched as the ladies around her were trying to fight over her daughter and wondered what it will be like if Nimo pick another person or if there decided he doesn't love Nimo that way? She was now afraid that these two might take her daughter away.

"Daniella what do you think, you know I must ask for your permission to make sure that I have her. Plus I won't mind waiting for her to be the lady you know. She is tough, unlike some other kids. I love her so much, so please, give her a day to stay with me so that she can tell me your little secrets."

Daniel laughed listening to the woman talks about secrets. 

"She will never tell you anything!
